Shitty beat (wtf was villian thinking?)... but on a side note, with the completed diamond draw and 86 open ended on the turn, is checking behind for pot control a bad play here? It'd be my prefered line. If we're check raised on the turn (I assume we call), the river bet now puts us all in

Against a more sane opponent, it probably would be. This guy was AWFUL though.

What gives you that impression
Edit: Always has me AMAZED when an awful player is sitting on some insane stack (like here 7.5 buy ins deeps!)
