he's now at a 200/400 table playing heads up against jacksjr.

not sure who jacksjr is, but he took something like 25k off of john dagostino playing 200/400 hu last week in a couple of hours.

looks like he is doing well against ivey too.

Default Yea I've Seen JacksirJr

I saw him play D'Agostino, he made a fool of John. Also, this is one of the first times I've seen Phil playing in a while. Although I did see him lose the 5,000 Dollar Headsup to Trouble, the winner of the Hunt For Red Promotion. P.S. I need a transfer to get back on the circuit.

He beat jacksSr on his all in.
jacksSr had K3o preflop,
he raised Phil a normal 3XBB Raise
Phil raised 3X that
jacksSr went all in
Phil had AA
Looks fishy to me.

I see Phil on FT quite a bit. I've seen him play Matusow a lot.

I was about to post that Phil had 75k sitting in front of him (wow), but looks like I caught his final hand of the night... Wish he'd give me a $65000 "gift" sometime. Maybe someday.............

P.S. I hate annoying railbirds. I won't bother cleaning this HH up, so you can see what I mean.

Thanks Reel Deal!

Because you posted this thread, I fired up FT... watched a few hands of Ivey and got inspired to paly some NL cash game for the first time in a long time. Sat at two 2/4 tables and nearly won back all my tourney entry fees from earlier today.

Also saw the bdawg at one of the tables. You like my little check raise there, bdiggitydawg? I had TP, figured it was good, and wanted the guy sitting between us to go away for sure.

And then I graciously folded my AQ overcards and flush draw to you a bit later when you bet that Jack high all diamond flop hard...

That's funny... I did the same thing. Actually had one of my better sessions on FT, no bad beats and no donkey calls by yours truly.

What in the world from this hand makes you think the site is rigged? That a big name player was dealt AA? Or that the K3 didn't suck out?

Sorry, but I can't help find it amusing that no matter who had the AA here and who had the K3 and how the betting went down and who ended up winning the pot, SOMEONE always thinks the mite must be "rigged." God forbid it's just, you know.... poker.

I would expect (and still disagree with) that sort of comment if Phil had the K3 and won the hand, but by AA holding up???

People are funny.

Yes people are funny playing K3o.
Also, by rigged I also mean that the guy with K3o could be a plant.
Just seems like a pretty strange play with K3o.

Seems like a really bad idea to have a "plant" playing like that. Seems a lot more liekly to me that this was what I like to call a "bluff." PHil had probably been pushing him around, and he though his reraise was weak so he pushed in to put him to the test. Phil happened to have a moster and called. It was bad timing - an ill timed bluff. That's all. It's just part of the game.

People are always so quick to call shenanigans when they see something that look funny, like ultra aggressive play. In Heads Up, I'm not sure there is anything I could question, short of someone CALLING a huge all in with 5 high (and winning) or something along those lines.

i dont think that guy is a plant at all. from the times that i have seen him play, he has done pretty damn well in high stakes HU limit holdem. i cant say anything about his abilities at no limit, but i dont see anything that is that fishy in hi splay here.

he sensed weakness, and pushed. he ran into a legit hand, it happens all the time. especially in a shorthanded game, you are going to see moves like this.

from the play that i have seen from him, he is a good player. i havent seen enough to say that he is an expert, or that he is world class, but he has absolutely held his own playing HU against both Ivey and D'Agostino, taking a good chunk of change from both of them.

anyways, if the site was using plants, wouldnt they have those players lose to the pros? it would just build the mystique of the pros, which is why so many people go to the site anyways. i know that jacksjr lost this hand, but overall i think he is doing pretty well against the pros.

Default Ivey,

Ivey hasn't been on the circuit for a while. I didn't see him on in a while since The Hunt For Red Headsup Tourneys came. Now, hes going to be on it regularly.

I think the point he was trying to make here was that it looked like the K3 might have been 'passing chips' to Ivey.

Because, you know, AA NEVER gets sucked out on.
