So I would like your opinions....Serious ones that is......

So I cashed out most of my online mobneys, so I could deposit into Fulltilt AND start to play some live poker. I moved to Oklahoma in the fall (donk ask!), and they have a shitload of casinos here. Alot of them are real small and dinky, but some are real nice. There is one right here in Lawton, where I live. Its sister casino is down on the Texas border, about 40 miles away. They are both decent sized, and have a poker room. There are larger casinos up north, in the Oklahoma City area. 1 is about 70 miles up the road in Newcastle, another is in Norman ~80 miles away (large/very nice place), another is further away, but is very close to where a good friend who I grew up with moved to recently (this is like 120 miles away).
Ok, so I cashed out $800 with the intent on putting $600 in Tilt and having $200 for live play. I wound up only putting $500 into Tilt but whatever. So I had $200 for live play, with the thought of grinding limit games to get it up to a decent roll, and then re-evaluate. So, I have been twice so far. Both times were when I was up in OKC area already, so the travel dilemma was moot. First time I went to Riverwind (in Norman). This is where OU is, so there are usually some college donks there, and some sharks too....I sat to play 3/6 (the smallest lhe game offered), but it went shorthanded very quickly. We were 5 handed before I knew it, and I was down ~$30. So, I bit the bullet, and took $90 to a 1/2 NL game (I know I know I should have the max buyin..) I played tight, made a flush for a small pot, then made another w/ TJss on a paired board. A lady donk pushed a short stack bluff on the river, and I called and wound up $30 winner. I then went to Firelake Grand after the Celtics/Hornets game last week. I went with my friend and his brother-in-law. We didnt stay long, and I made.....$1.
So, to make a long story longer, I have $230 to play some live poker. My problem; the casino where I live (and the one that is next closest), basically NEVER have any limit games going. They offer them, but noone wants to play. Everyone wants to play what they see on TV....Donks. So I can bite the bullet and go play NLHE 5 minutes from my house, or travel and play LHE. The problem with NL is twofold. One, I am not all that comfortable playing NL ring games live. Not that I am bad. I know that I am better than most of the players. But its still new to me. Also, and more significantly, I basically have 1 full buyin. If I go and sit with $200, and make one poor move, or take one massive beat, I am basically busto for my live bankroll. That is NOT something I want to do (sfovb.). Or I can travel and try to play some limit poker. But I have to take other factors into consideration. There are actually tolls to pay here in OK on the turnpike I woudl be traveling on. So to go play up north, I will need to travel about an hour (or more), pay ~$6 in tolls, and pay for the gas. So figure about $20 in travel expenses, and 2 hours in the car.............its definately something I cant ignore. Even at these casinos, LHE is not guaranteed. Like I said I went to maybe the largest room, on a Thursday night, and there was 1 game going, and it went short right away. So I could travel ot one of these places, and not really find what I want. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Sooooo, what are your overall thoughts/comments/advise/flames.............

Live limit games going short is a good thing. If you ask, and I always do, they'll give you a "break on the rake." At the rooms I've been too, they'll usually cap it at $2, instead of the normal $4. Playing shorthanded online is the most profitable game and it's definitely no different live. Less players, less rake, more hands, mo money.

Honestly, my advice to you is to forget playing live and play online - at least until you vuild yourself a reasonable bankroll that you can take to play live. With your current roll, going broke is almost inevitable playing at those stakes. So play online (you'll get in TONS more hands per hour too) until you have probably 10x the live roll you have now. Then decide what and where you want to play.
