Default TP ITM in WSOP Event - Still Alive!!!

$1000 buy in. 971 players. 90 finish in the money.

We just broke for the night at 27 players, and I am still alive!

I have $44,000 chips, which is a little above the average $36,000 stack right now. The only notable pro left is Robert Williamson III, who is an awesome guy. I've really enjoyed playing with him all day, while my friends were getting loaded on ridiculously expensive champagne with his friends courtest of Robert, of course.

I won't go into it all now, but I've taken detailed notes all day long and promise to give a detaild tourney report sometime soon.

A couple of notes though:

-I am playing great poker.
-I have yet to et my money in with the worst hand.
-My best hands have almost all held up. My AKs even beat ATo all in preflop and my big pairs are holding up aginast the smaller ones! How crazy is that???

I'm guaranteed $4400 right now, but I have every intention of making the final table tomorrow. The winner takes home $220,000.

I had exactly 5 goals for this tourney:
1. Finish in the money.
2. Make it to at least 45th place (to break even for the $2500 of buy ins from yesterday and today).
3. Make it to Day 2 (27 players).
4. Make the final table.
5. Take it down.

3 of those goals can be crossed off the list... and I have every intention of accomplishing the other two tomorrow.

One more thing. I signed my media card, "Firstname 'Talking Poker' Lastname" - so the big secret may be out soon (see Geoff's thred).

We restart tomorrow at 2:00 PM PT. I can't wait to get my hands on that bracelet.

Agreed.

If you win the bracelet, I believe that should be the prize for the August contest .

I think TP said previously this wasn't for a bracelet for whatever reason. The bracelet is nice and all, but wouldn't you rather the green stuff?

Keep taking 'em down TP!

He said the tournament was not for a bracelet... Not that he didn't want one. Stop reading how you spell.

Ok...reading tp's post he did say bracelet. I apologize.

My sentence didn't require a comma, Brian.

Update to my comment about no bracelet. Perhaps TP said it wouldn't be an ESPN covered event... This could be wrong as well...

Brian what he is saying is he doesnt think that the winner of this tournament (the one TP is playing in now) receives a bracelet, not that TP doesnt want one... apparently according to TPs post he is wrong though, although I thought these events werent for bracelets either

PS Yea Shabi, your post is a super one

This is a bracelet event.

Because the heart of the main event is going on, there is little to no media coverage. The results will be available online afterwards, but ESPN won't be filming and they most likely will not be ive updates.

First prize is $220k. I'm already guaranteed $4400 for 27th place.
