RIP Steve McNair
Wow, 3 days and nobody mentions this. I guess the murder of a retired NFL star isn't big enough to make the networks diverge from "All Michael Jackson, All The Time"

Michael Jackson dying. Sarah Palin stepping down. Other big stories going on over a big American holiday weekend.
--------- As for this story, it is a shame that his personal life will be such a stain on the way he will be remembered. Highly drafted black quarterback was given keys to franchise and led them for a decade with little, if any, problems until late in his career (dui or gun something or other, i forget). Volunteer in his community and was treated as just short of a God in Nashville. A friend of mine from North Georgia is a huge Titans fan and he was quite upset at the idea of his idol being taken away from him in such a way.

To be honest, aside from the death of Billy Mays (sorry, long story), this one hit me the most. I was actually a big fan of Steve McNair, and it's a shame this happened to him.

Murder suicide care of a 20 year old girlfriend. *sigh*
Way too young, such a waste... I always liked him. |
