Default Party June Reload

Guess they're doing it early for the series, and they kicked up the percentage and the amount.

BONUSJUN 25% $150. Woohoo.

Sweet......... Just made my deposit. Check me out being the first, rather than the last, to take advantage of one of these things for a change...

Default yes, i know, i'm new...

folded hands count as hands played towards bonus money right? So couldn't one get in a 25NL game and fold nearly everything and get the bonus still? Lemme know.

You could...
Or you could play your regular game at the 25NL and probably make a few bucks.
Worst case scenario, if you are new or a losing player it's a good buffer if you lose.

Right. Folding everything in a 10 handed $25 NL table costs you 35 cents every 10 hands or 3.5 cents per hand. To clear the $150 bonus, you need to play 150 x 7 = 1050 raked hands. Figure that's going to be around 1500 hands total. 1500 hands x $.035 = $52.50, meaning you still come out nearly $100 ahead...

But, if you play a normal game (or even an extra tight one), you should do even better than that. Even if you lose, you're gaining the experience that will help make you a better player.

I have almost posted something similar to this theory several times but thought everyone would bash the idea since depositing $500 and folding every hand just to make $45 might not seem to bright, but I do it every month and it works fine, not to mention there is usually one giving soul at the table who will double you up when you are holding the nuts in the big blind.

And there is nothing wrong with that.
However, you are giving up the opportunity of gaining table experience (online) and knowledge of situations. (How people react to what, How you should react to what, drilling pot odds into your game, when to draw, when to not draw, when the odds of Queen high taking down the pot are good etc.)

In my opinion, the extra $100 or so dollars you may gain from folding everything pales in comparison to the knowledge you may pick up by actually playing.
Even if you were to lose $200 of your original $600 deposit, you would only be down $50, and that $50 may have been money well spent if you finally learn that A-Q is not the nuts.

This isn't a bad idea, but I'm sure sooner or later party is going to look into this and take away your bonus opportunities. Btw, are you pressing fold evertime or do you have a program? Cause that's a few hours of play, unless you're 10 tabling or something. and that'd woulnd't be worth the complete boredom of that time for me.

First off I said you COULD do it, not that I recommend it. I will be honest and say I have done it months ago by moving money from one site to another and making 80-90 bucks 4-tabling for less than 2 hours though.

Nutbag, I don't think Party really cares because they are making it all back via the rake and then some by the time you clear the bonus, if it was hurting them they either wouldn't offer a bonus every month or would jack up the raked hand requirements.

I know you saw AA a few times while doing this. Did you really fold it preflop?

Default I won't start a brag thread, but.....

How did you guys do?
Up about 200BB(w/o bonus((is this sustainable?))), I think I got capped on the turn and river holding the nuts or obviously winning second nuts about 6 different times. It had been normal or tighter in the reload period for me beofre, but this time there were just some horrific players.

I cleared less than $300 this time. I was doing well until I decided to take a break from 6 max to play at 3 BBJ tables for a couple hundred hands. Silly me.

I think I am getting really annoyed with poker because no joke, I have had a bad run of cards for close to a month now.
