Thank you, Donovan McNabb
"Maybe we can get our ring back."
Now you will get annihilated. In jeopardy now is the Bears' 73-0 score over the 'Skins in the 1940 NFL Championship. Maybe even Georgia Tech's 222-0 thrashing of Cumberland in 1916 will be threatened. This Sunday night will make it look like the Bills got off easy.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Donovan McNabb missed practice again Thursday because of ankle and thumb injuries, and it's uncertain whether the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback will play for the Eagles against New England on Sunday.
McNabb hurt his thumb early in Philadelphia's 17-7 win over Miami, and left the game after he sprained his right ankle in the second quarter. A.J. Feeley led the Eagles (5-5) to a pair of touchdowns and would start against the Patriots if McNabb can't play. Coach Andy Reid has said that McNabb doesn't have to practice this week to play at New England (10-0). The decision on a starting quarterback could be made shortly before kickoff. jake,
Ya I saw that he is hurt, and might not play. Meh, I think that gives Philly a BETTER chance to keep it with 5 TD's. But I dont think that is what Kurn was referring to. "Maybe we can get our ring back." This quote leads me to believe that moron made some sort of moronic statement. Cmon Kurn, whats the deal?? Jeez.........you would think it was like a major holiday around this place!! |

It was a TV or radio interview with MvNabb, I believe right after spygate. McNabb was referring to that incident and said "maybe we can get our ring back." hinting that the Pats didn't deserve to beat them in Super Bowl XXXIX.
Th quote has been played over and over on local radio here, and I'm sure it is on the bulleting board in Foxboro.

Pffffffffft, what a meathead. I guess thats all that can be expected from a friggin Syra-CURSE alum....... He better hope he doesnt play sunday. When the Pats turn up the heat, he will lose his Thanksgiving turkey all over the field.........again. And although I can hear it online, I miss WEEI. Thats all I ever used to listen to in the car (and of course, Genesis during the endless commercials!!). Mike Adams rules..... Thanks Kurn |

Seems that the bookies' insult to the Eagles had more effect than McNabb's insult to the Pats.
Eagles played great. Well thought out offensive game plan. Good effort in putting pressure on from the D-line. Sheppard and Brown have always been great cover corners, and they showed it last night. That being said, one thing that's gotten lost this season is that the Patriots almost always prevail in close games. It seems Brady makes good decisions under pressure and the opposition QB usually makes a big mistake. This looked more like a typical Patriots game from the past 6 years. No blow out, but they made the plays they needed to make to win. Is McNabb out of a job?

McNabb is totally not an eagle next year.
McNabb. Lovie. Lovie. McNabb.

McNabb is definitely done as an Eagle... Garcia comes in last year and they play great. Feely last night same result. Common factor? McNabb being injured and NOT playing. McNabb will say he isn't appreciated I'm sure.

I'd be fine with that.
I wanted them to keep and start Garcia this year. McNabb is a decent QB, but he doesn't have the heart/game that you see in guys like Garcia. Even Feeley looked awesome last night. Sure, he made a couple of mistakes, but you could see how much he WANTED to win, and that's huge. |

Its funny, but the knock against Andy Reed is that he tends to be a bit too conservative, playing not to lose. Last night he did the exact opposite. Maybe he'll loosen up a bit now.
