Poll Time!!!!
This is relates to this:
Okay - I believe a contributing factor in me not winning a Level 2 yet is boredom. I have always multi-tabled whenever I play. In Level 1 I multi-table and I think I've cashed in 9 of 15 of them. Level two I'm a big 0 for 3 with 2 of them being bubbles. *BUT* I only play one table at a time when I'm beyond level 1 and I get bored. I play one table on one monitor and usually find myself reading tmz, break, TP, whatever, on monitor 2. I think that hurts my play. The question was posed to me, "why don't you multi-table even beyond level 2? Play the appropriate level on one side and play a level 1 game on the other side." So I'm posing it to the forum as I didn't write the rules for this experiment. Poll closes in five days.

I think you can multi, but only one table can be for the experiment. Just my opinion.

I don't want to mix my bankroll with non-experiment wins/losses and experiment wins/losses.

But if you're playing two tables say at the 5.50 buy in, if you win both, then you're not really getting a true running talley of your experiment. Because you wouldn't be playing the second one if you won the first one...see what I'm saying?

Just put together a spreadsheet and run your talley that way you're not mixing the roll. Unless you started up the experiment with exactly $100 in your account.

I don't know all the rules of this and don't feel like digging through them all.... but if you were to lose at Level 2, surely your next SNG would be at Level 1, yes? What happens if you WIN at Level 2 - I guess it depends what exact place you finish and then you either do Level 2 or Level 3?
I see two options: 1. Rewrite your entire list of rules and base it on playing 2 SNGs at once. ie, If I cash in both, move up. If I only cash in 1, stay at the same level. If I cash in neither, move down. Blah blah blah... 2. Stick to the original plan, but keep a second SNG running in the background. Consider this the "Bonus SNG" or something, and track it separately. Thenm either play it according to the same exact rules of the experiment (in other words, you'll be doing TWO simultaneous experiments), or to keep it simple, always keep it Level 1. I think Option 2 is the best. Then it's just up to you if you want to keep track of two bankrolls (simple enough), or some sort of "Bonus" thing for your background Level 1 SNGs. |
