Default $100 NL at Party

These tables are soft. Over this weekend, I have won close to $1000. The players are just throwing money into the pot. Example: I flopped quads and had a guy go all-in for $110 UTG. He was trying to steal the $1.50 in blinds. Big mistake. I couldn't believe that. I had to take a minute and make sure that I wasn't too drunk and not seeing the cards correctly.

I would have written this weekend off as a fluke, but over the last two weeks, I have had only one losing session on these tables.

I have had nothing close to the huge weekend I had, but most nights, after about 2 hours, I have at least doubled up.

Try it out and see for yourself.

Awesome. Well done.

I noticed tonight that Stars has short seated NL cash games, so I fired up a couple of those to finish clearing last month's bonus. I did quite well in the process.

I'm not comparing players to Party's... just commenting on the short seated games. With sites as popular as Party and Stars, they should offer short seated games at all limits, IMO.

That's my primary game - and you're trespassing on private property.

Default Spoke too soon

I'm a little frustrated. I'm dealt KK.

Some clown calls a $10 raise pre-flop.

flop: 569

He moves all in. I call. He has 45off

Of course, he hits a 5 on the turn.

Lost a bundle on that one.

For sanity reasons:
That shit will happen - but you know this. Shrug it off, that's what I do ... just keep remembering: these are the plays you want, especially pre-flop. If it wasn't for bonehead plays like this, then you wouldn't be up so much this weekend.

Strategically:
He called your PFR of $10... the flop was all low cards with a poss straight (and maybe even a flush draw out there??). When he pushed all in, what made you think you had him beat? Did you already have him pegged as a fish? KK is great, but compared to the size of the pot in relation to the size of the bet... you might have considered folding.

Default Bah!

I have been hitting the down side of sucky players lately: HUGE VARIANCE. I mean a guy with pocket tens calls my trips with an A on the board and hits on the turn? Bah! Anyway, just keep in mind that with loose play comes the suckouts, and sometimes your weeks are going to suck.
