Poker Stars Question
Ive just started playing here a bit, made a small ish deposit, teesting out the site.
I have a few questions if some kind person here would answer them?? 1. If i win a WSOP seat at stars, is airfare included? 2. Im in a $2 rebuy sattelite to the $33 rebuy WSOP sattelite, if i make it, can i unregister and get money or tourney cash for it to play other sattelites or tourneys? 3. Are the cash tables here tighter than most other places, thats what im seeing? 4. I did a small $100 deposit, i didnt get a bonus. Do they currently have one? if so, i cant see it on the site. Thanx in advance |

1. they give u a 1000 cash so i would say that covers your airfare. i dont think they give u tickets.
2. u can use any wsop tourny money for any tourny under the event tab or u can sell it for a good deal to people like mayhem an Tp. |

Crazy. I figured only .5% of the poker world didn't have a Stars account by now! Go figure.....
Answers above are correct. Most can be confirmed on their site as well - not #3, of course, but the general consensus has always been that Stars' cash games are tighter than average. |

Here's hoping this answers most of your WSOP related questions. (was wondering about it myself, so went ahead and searched for the answers)

Personal decision, obviously. Things to consider:
-How big is your bankroll? -How much do you want to win a WSOP seat? -Do you even likje the DS format? -Would you prefer to use those W$ elsewhere in different tourneys? |

I've read that the Double Shootouts have a relatively poor EV. This is because in most cases, the edge a player has on the second table of the DS is minimal and because most of the winners of the first SNG are better players than average and the 9 of you are competiting for only one spot.
People have suggested that playing in the main direct satellite that awards multiple seats is much better. (Eg. The Sunday 650 Main Event Qualifier on stars). One in 18 players move on. Although it costs a lot more to enter the MTT qualifier, your chances of moving on (assuming you're a good MTT player) is a lot higher than your chances of qualifying through the DS. |
