I was in awe while watching this clip.

Nothing funny about some deranged kid screaming his head off.

Didn't realize what it was about till I reread pshabi's title. Makes one wonder what JJ was like on that miserable unlucky day.

I know of people that have played with JJ before. He's made way more profit than that. So I don't think this affected him much. That's why he came clean with it and didn't disagree with them. He's also 'somewhat' famous now. I think he's enjoying all of this.

He came clean because he was caught and wanted to save what was left of his ass, like a little rat bastard.

He lost $140k. I'm sure it wasn't "oh well." If you think he didn't cry, you're dum!

He didn't have to tell the 'grandmother story' if he didn't want people to know. He could have lied and played the 'innocent, dumb act'. But he didn't, did he? He enjoys the fame & publicity. Some people get off on that.

I sure don't. But it doesn't really matter WHY he made a second account. It's the fact that he used both of them to play in the same tourney (repeatedly!) because it was "+EV" that got him busted. He deserved to lose every penny of that money, and I'm glad he did. Hopefully this will deter his friends from continuing to cheat as well.

Do you even know what happened?

He bragged to a forum buddy via AIM that he was still alive in the tourney and at the final table. His buddy was at the FT of a different tourney and posted about both of them.

Just like anyone would do here. "Hey, me and dumbass are at the FTs of two tourneys, come railbird!"

Only people on the forum were already aware that JJ had busted out early on with his own account. So, when people were like, "what the fuck" and ready to report to party he made up the story about his grandma. What choice did he have? Well, maybe to stop and think for another 3 minutes and realize that story was shit.

When he realized that not everyone on the internet is in middle school, and that he was busted, he tried to salvage himself and THEN decided to "come clean."

Losing 140k and having the entire poker world think you're a jackass? What's to enjoy about that?

Also, how could you say that clip wasn't funny? It was hilarious!

And "miserable unlucky day?" Since when is getting caught CHEATING even in the same ballpark as being unlucky???

I still can not fathom how people can justify his actions or feel sorry for him for getting caught.

Where in the world did you get the idea I was sympatizing with him?

I think he's a shitfaced sob. I'm glad he was caught.

Remember this, though. There are many other poker sites besides Party. If he tested the waters on one, who's to say he didn't do this elsewhere?

Still stand by my first post. That clip was 'non funny'. Maybe it would've been funnier if it was JJ himself.

JJ is a jackass, I agree.

But who's JJ? Do you know his real name or where he lives? JJ might be sitting next to you at a poker table at any time, under a different name. If not JJ, maybe a JJ wannabe.

This publicity on him was more bad than good. Now every undecent scumbag is going to try what JJ did.

Online poker will never be the same again. Mark my words.

Wait? You think Party confiscating $180k from someone they caught cheating is going to encourage MORE cheating? Is that what you are suggesting?

You're funny. Mark my words.

Do u know a single person who went out and made a second account b/c of this ?
I would bet more ppl deleted 2nd accounts than created them.
I'm pretty positive it will have little to No effect on online poker overall.

Majority of the posts I've read, on other online related poker sites, think JJ was an imbecile for not cashing out right away. They post, that they would be smarter and cash out as soon as they made a profit.

If that's the case, people will use this to become 'smarter cheaters'. They will probably create new accounts and if they profit they will cash out.

Do I agree with this? Heck no. Damn cheaters will make us, 'honest people', suffer. Poker sites will give us a harder time with our neteller and bank accounts. But, then again, it might be for the best. Only way to get rid of all cheaters.

I know of a few people who have multiple accounts. Most of them created these new accounts not to cheat but because they either lost chat or don't want their fanclub around.

Wonder if JJ's story is giving these people a few ideas?

I'm sick. It sucks - I'd actually much rather be at school.
I really have to get this whole allergy thing figured out before college.

While I didn't go out and delete any 2nd accounts (can't delete what you don't have), I did contact both Stars and UB (as per TP's suggestion) and let them know about Nikki & I. Stars was more than understanding and explained that their software will prohibit our accounts from joining the same ring games or same SNGs. It's also designed to prevent us from hitting the same table in an MTT together. Should we both be fortunate enough to make final table Stars "would congratulate us both"! So no problem there.

UB, on the other hand...They told me that their software is designed to disable accounts if two from the same address end up at the same table. (?!?!?!) I replied back to them asking for clarification and here is their reply:
WTF??? So basically they're telling me I'm SOL if we're both lucky enough to make FT. Kinda a shame too...I liked UB. Ah well, PS will be happy with my money when I move it over there.

I think what they were saying is you'll be fine as long as you play "normally" which means no obvious cheating or chip dumping or player complaints. They are also saying, if something does happen they are not liable so they do not encourage playing from the same IP. I think you'd be fine, but then wouldn't it suck to have a JJprodigy situation? LOL. Stars>UB in my opinion anyways. Stars>any site for that matter.

Well, I'm not going to have to worry about it - I've already processed the withdrawl of my roll from UB into Neteller. After it hits there it's either going to Stars or Party. Not sure which.
