Default Small sites, big overlays...

In my WSOP thread, Windbreaker mentioned some of the big overlays available out there for WSOP satellites. I decided to look into it a bit, and holy crap - some of these small sites are really ponying up a lot of extra cash in their guaranteed tourneys, aren't they?

Here are a few examples I'm looking at playing in today:

1. - they have a $50k guaranteed tourney later today (3:45 ET) with just a $37 entry fee. It IS a rebuy tourney, but to break even, they need 1350 total buy-ins, right? there are just 150 people registered for this right now.

Anyone know a good formula to estimate a prize pool in a rebuy tourney based on the number of entries? ie, what's the average number you can multiply the buy-in for each person to guestimate the prize pool?

2. DR again - they have a $3k guaranteed rebuy speed tourney starting at 1:55. Sounds like NOT my kind of tourney... but there are 0 people registered so far! I'm keeping an eye on this one.

3. - 1:00 today, $150+10 NLHE. It's their New Orleans (WSOP event) package. $10,000 buy in + $2000 + 5 nights hotel. They are guaranteeing 3 seats. The break even on this one is 240+ players.... they are 65 registered right now, with 30 minutes to go!

Interpoker has a WSOP Main Event satellite they are running tomorrow... 10 seats guaranteed! $300+20 buy in and only 80 people registered so far. This one is more than a day away, but well worth keeping an eye on too... Figure the break even on this one is 400 entries.

So... there are the few I'm looking at after my preliminary research. Please post any nice overlays you find in this thread. I know it's hard to predict with so many last minute registrations, but those of you who are regulars at the small sites, let the rest of us in on the best kept secrets, will ya???

Not sure.... as I'm looking (at just these two sites right now), I'm seeing even more small tourney with big overlays...

I'm going to decide as they are getting ready to start. This $150+10 at Interpoker is looking too good to pass up. 15 minutes left. 64 players! Even if it gets to 120, my entry is worth double what I'm paying for it. I don't think I can pass that up.

Believe me, I know. That site has some of the worst players on the net... I'm confident I will lose to some ridiculous beat.

I know nothing about their tourney structure. I hope it's decent... not 100 chips and 50/100 blinds to start

68 players now.

What the hell..... I'm in. 75 people and 7 minutes left. I hope it stays under 100. Even 120 and I'll be happy.

Top 3 is a tough finish, but it can be done...

Pokerrewards has a direct satellite for the wsop 30 dollar entry fee. Winner takes the 13k prize package, regardless how many people enter. The first two weeks so far only had 58 people and something like 89.

There are a bunch more. If SNG's are your things, you can always just do the Party Steps or Poker Stars Double Shoot Out.

This is kinda off topic but I have made a mental note to notice if a site is down and a guaranteed tourney is coming up. A couple of weeks ago Party was down for quite a while and it came back up like 10 minutes before its 8000k guaranteed. I planned on playing in it but forgot since the site was down. Anyhoo, 18 people signed up for 8000k. Needless to say i was pissed off i missed my opportunity.

Well, I placed in one of the daily GBP guaranteed tournies, so they can't be THAT tough.
