Default Time of Is True

Brunson said it in Super System. And TP and others have relentlessly over and over again stated how taking time off has improved their game.
Well i'm at the end of my 3rd month in Iraq ( I did play some in the first 2 weeks but I decided to use the 6 months as a break).
I'm feeling better and thinking more clearly about the game than I ever have in 3 months I feel I will be ready to step back to the tables with a fresh head and a clearer view of what's going on.

The first 2 weeks I was here I had some good winning sessions against a bunch of Dee-Dee-Dee's playing goofy home games and made up rules with blinds so small you had to see everyhand. But I felt in a few months when I step back to the real tables this see everyhand style might catch on and be very hurtful to my game.

Stepping away for 3 months taught me a few things
1) I might have gotten too big for my britches
2) It clears your head A LOT
3) having a lot of time to work out in a gym makes you feel better and that might be helpful at a table for long hours keeping your patience in check
4) It's too damn hot in this place so I'm done with this post (WHEW)

Just wanted to throw this out to anyone who has not taken an extended break ever. That if your on a bad streak or need to reevaluate your game taking a few months off can be AWSOME ..anyone have one of those Al Bundy pools

Time off is key so I totally agree. It really is important to step back and take a look at your game when its not going so well IMO. They game isnt going to go anywhere and if it clears your head and makes you play better all the power to you. Be safe out there !!!! whooooaaaaaaaaa
