Ok why I need to win this contest:

1. I need it so that I can stop playing the play chips table cus that's not good learning practice for Hold'em game players.

2. I need it so that I can join the TP league and therefore stay in this forum and be a welcomed part of it instead of just my kewl, funny, annoying self lol .

"If I win this contest I'm going to leave my 'winnings' in here and participate in the TP tourneys and/or league. So in reality you won't lose anything cus if I play like I've been playing, you'll end up winning it all back lmao" .

So TP whatcha think?

Ok, I think I have the answer to the contest!

5s4s vs. 7h2d
Board is 6s6h3s3d

72 is ahead, 54 is behind.

54 can win with: 2h, 2c, 7c, 7d, any spade (9), any 4 (3), any 5 (3) = 19. Any other card will result in a split pot. The 72 can not win, which I just think it wicked cool.

Sorry, TP. I couldn't resist after reading the thread you mentioned. Please don't ban me like you did JJ.

And, yes, very cool contest. Incredibly tough too.

I was trying to be funny. I'm pretty sure that's not what the contest is.

Nope, not me who's cool. That one is all TP. I don't know where he came up with that Hold'em hand, but it's quite amazing that the hand that is leading by the turn, can't win on the river. I would really read that whole thread to get an understanding of it. Plus it was quite humorous too.

Rook - you're killing me here. This is like the gagillionth off topic thing (give or take) that you've posted in this thread (or other incorrect threads). I suppose this thread is kind of an exception, but typically, if you have a new topic you want to talk about, start a new thread.

Don't make me tie you up and force you to watch this 100 times:

Cause I'll do it.

Lol. And actually it's not sung by Hall and Oates. I can't remember the guys name that sings it but he looks like Al from Tool Time.

Way cool, isn't it? That's one of my favorite threads ever, despite the morons in there who kept copying other people's answers or at the most changing the suit of one card (usually putting duplicate cards in play).

Credit Barry Greenstein for where I came up with that.

It's Hall & Oates.

It's "She's a Maniac," but I prefer Farley's "I'm a maniac" version much, much more.

Here's the dude that sings it. Michael Sembello. This is the only pic I could find that showed what he looked like when he sang "Maniac" in 1983. I could have a hell of a time with this picture in paint.

Was that the contest? To see who could name the singer of "Maniac" and find a picture to boot? Thought I'd get this thread back on topic, heh.

Oh, please. You think I can't google up some proof for you:

Wit that said, your guy is definitely in more of the results, including Flashdance specific ones. I believe he redid the song... but Hall & Oates wrote it.

Apparently, we are not the first forum to have this discussion:

That's interesting. I guess we are all right. I'm righter though because it was the "Flashdance" version that was in question. LMAO.

I dont think we will ever find a winner....because the winner is the one who doesnt piss TP off during the running of this contest...and as of yet no one is to do that :-)

Interesting theory. But, alas, it is also incorrect.
