You're assuming that he cant leave school 1 year early, still be a great player and still make 100s of millions. Why cant he? The 'gamble' would be that he couldnt do well in his 'on the job' training (in the NFL) and adapt correctly.

i agree with you phsabi, vince topped out this year and there isno need for him to come back. what if he has a down year next year and he doesnt go as high in the draft. i just wouldnt understand if he would have stayed.

Where do you get these figures? Are you guys just making up numbers for the sake of your argument? It sure seems like it?
Bottom line: The only place his stock can go from here is down. If he goes back to college and doesn't repeat what he did this year, he will lose value. If he goes back and blows out a knee, he'll be a nobody. Anybody who thinks they'd pass up guaranteed millions for a "degree" that guarantees nothing is fooling themselves. A degree is a piece of paper. The only thing Vince is guaranteed is his place in the draft this year. Coming back to school does not guaranteed him 100s of millions more than he would get coming out now. Ridiculous.
