I hate micro limits!!!!, I love 2/4. Im actully playing 2/4 right now with a little under the must for the level because it is the game I feel most comfortable in. Maybe its because that is the game when I go to the casino that I play, I do keep a very close eye on my current bankroll and I do have a set lose amount that I have to abide by or I drop down levels. So far I havent had to drop down and im up about $250 in last 2 days and slowly building back roll before my $500 blowout.

grinding out 1/2 cent no limit isnt a reason to respect someone... or fear them... it just means theyre more patient and/or more broke than the average gambler.... if they have a 1000$ bankroll and they play penny stakes, thats not someone u should fear... its someone who probably shouldnt be playing poker

There's a big difference between someone who plays 2 years slowly working their way up from penny stakes to even the $2/4 level.
Let's say they played 400k hands on the way.
He is very dedicated and patient and does not jump levels until he is properly rolled.

Now Player B has only played for 4 months and bounced his way from his initial deposit of $50 to the $3/6 level and has a current bankroll of $1200.
He has played 95k hands lifetime...
He takes frequent chances and has played as high as $15/30 at times.

Who do you fear more?
I personally would be more leary of Player A.

Default hey guys

sorry it has been so long since my last post. I am on a mini vacation up in lebanon TN. I appreciate all the feedback i have gotten form everyone both good and bad. So chip i have a ? The low limit SNG's are easy to beat on there? are they real close to play money SNG's. I know you may have never played one but i know you have seen one played. Thanks again to everyone for all the (constructive) criticism. I hope to have my roll to 75 by tomorrow night. Currently at 48.72. .05/.10nl. let me know something about those SNG's chip

Default Thank you Pacific

With a lot of limit hands behind me, I can confidently say that solid, no-frills limit play should work at micro-limit to as high as 4/8, which is as far as I can speak to with any real experience. The only difference I find is the variance is a little greater at microlimit as more people are calling with a wider variety of pre-flop hands, so there are more gut-shot straights hit than at the (relatively) higher limits. So don't play above your roll, and patience is key. Duh.

While battling this damn head cold, I continue to crush .25/.50 at Pacific, as could anyone with a copy of a good starting hand chart. I've turned the free $10 into $45. But as you can imagine, it has taken a while. If I could multitable, it sure would go a lot faster. Goal was $50, but it is getting late, and I’m tired.

I'm cashing out most of it (the rest will be sacrificed to my occasional dabbling in Omaha), and will be back at my usual Party 2/4 game next week. Still, it wasn’t bad considering, and I played so long I’m sure they made more than $10 in rake. Wonder how long my cash out will take?

Go get them Bigjohn...
The SNGs are a joke on that site...
You should do well.

I tried a little experiment on the $2+.xx SNGs a year or so ago...
Try folding "EVERY" hand...
I cashed in 14 of 20.
It may have changed, but I doubt it.

Throw a couple of decent starting hands in there and you are all but guaranteed a 2nd place finish... Then it's up to you to take the win...

I'd kindof like to see you pull out a decent roll by month's end...

Knock 'em dead.!

I seriously hope you don't think I have an issue with you personally Bigjohn...
The stuff I said to you was meant to keep you off Tourneys until you had some sort of roll.

Do yourself a favour and stay within your roll...
Honestly, it's the best advice you'll ever get.

Yup... Steamboat Springs. Had a great time other than a mildly sprained thumb (hard landing after a pretty big jump in the terrain park).

Ah cool. I haven't been skiing since I moved out here myself, bit too rich for my blood and I'm not very good at it.

I lost $60 last night. Played a $30 SnG. KK v. A8 - can't believe he tripped up 8s on the river.

Oh, if you're thinking about Full Tilt Poker:

I feel like the players are tight and passive. Late position bets will help you take down a lot of small, uncontested pots.

Default Triple posting...

I understand you guys want this to be the longet thread, but let's try to stay on topic here. Triple posting (see above three posts) is not cool, especialy when 2 of them have nothing to do with this thread and should be new threads of their own....
