That was fun, I managed to get in before the blinds could cripple me, made the final table, and had a wild run of 3 straight wins to go from near oblivion (20 chips!) to...480. Good game everyone.

Yea, this was a fun tournament. I got a few hands last night, and it helped me get a strong chip stack early on. When the two tables were condensed to one, I was pissed off to see that I was sitting in the WORST spot I could imagine - to the right of the big stack - who, at that time, was nflchad.

When we got down to four players, the stacks were getting closer to being even. But, the shitty blind structure Titan tournaments made this thing a crapshoot.

On my final hand, I was dealt 33 (or was it 44)? Acting UTG, nfl made a standard raise, and it was folded to me. He's either stealing UTG (which is a move I like) or his raise is legit. I put him on high-cards (or rags if he's stealing). I'm technically a favorite w/ my pocket pair, but for all intents and purposes, if I push, AND HE CALLS, then we flip a coin. There is also a chance that he folds to my push, but the blinds were so high, he'd really have to be stealing.

At that point, I thought it would be better for me to take a flip and possibly double up. If I double up, not only is nfl crippled, but I can easily take control of the table, putting myself in a great position to win. If I lose, then I'm out...

I'll gamble when I think it's right.

I pushed, nfl called, and I wasn't surprised when he flips AJ. Either an A or J hit and I was done.

gg.

The only cards I saw all night were AKo, AQo, AJs, (once each) and then the 88 that sent me home. The blinds were at 100/200 and I had 900 left on the button. AEQ raised to 800 from MP, folded to me so I went all-in into what I hoped was just two overs. He flipped AKo and caught a wheel on the river. Oh well, had fun. Look forward to doing it again.

Thanks TP, and Titan.

I was ninth. I believe polarnuts was eighth, TonyCheval seventh. Not sure who polarnuts is. The sad thing is polarnuts was posting and folding and I couldn't even beat him. And Cheval was down to twenty chips at one point and I couldn't beat him, lol.

What can I say, I'm a monster with a short stack. Too bad I suck with a big one.

I made the cut for the money...woohoo! First one in the money. 16th place. Lou hit two pair on the flop and I tried to bluff at the pot with my flush draw. Didn't work out for me.

All the talk in this thread about where people placed didn't tip you off that perhaps the freeroll already took place?
