Current chip leader, Patrik Antonius, is on my . I believe I have him in Group B. I wanted to make him an A, but I don't think I did.
If he takes this down (and I like his chances of going deep), that should help me out in the standings quite a bit, as I doubt many people picked him. This tourney is starting to get good now. Over half of the field has been eliminated. Joe Cassidy is currently 4th, Ivey is 6th, Gavin Smith 7th, Freedy Deeb and Ted Forrest are tied for 8th.... damn. |

Daniel N. said they were going to do day 2 till 9 players and then come back around 9PM to play the final table. They were SUPPOSED to do the final table at noon today.

I've been hearing a bunch of "marked cards" reports since the first few events. My guess is it's due to poor quality cards meeting inexperienced live players.
This isn't a slam on Copaq. I've never used them before myself, but have heard mostly good things about them in the past. |

We should do a low buyin HORSE tourney for the forum. Everyone has different skill sets at different games and it would definately lead to some interesting play.

I'm not sure - I have quite a few. I told you I liked my HORSE picks (Actually put some thought into them).
The only finished up last night's play maybe an hour ago. It seems Patrick folded on the river of the final hand, when Williamson had been eliminated. He has only $13k left, but he made the final table. They are starting play again tonight at midnight ET. That has to be an advantage for guys like Ivey over guys like Doyle, but you never know, that man amazes me. The Final Table: |

What I heard was that ESPN wanted it NLHE so it would televise better. Personally I thought the rock, paper, scissors coverage was pretty good....maybe they should have the final table be that instead
 . IMO, if they play a game of overall poker skill and then get to the best of the best and switch the game it is just untrue to the spirit of the event.

I can't say for sure about the WSOP, but every other HORSE event (which isn't many) that I can remember did go to NLHE for the final table.

That's ridiculous. Did the players know this would happen ahead of time? Where in H.O.R.S.E. does NLHE come into play? Absolutely ridiculous. I hope the advisory board jumps all over this at the next meeting.

Where have you guys been? This has been the deal from the very beginning. The advisory board was in on the decision. It may be a shame, but they agreed to it, I'm sure because it was the only way to get this kind of tournament on the schedule. And I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time this has happened, as Penguinfan said. In one sense, I'm with the people that are disappointed by the fact that they change the format for the final table. In another sense, NLHE is my favorite game, these are some of the best poker players in the world, and it will be great to see them play it for a huge prize pool. |
