Bodog rakeback
Does anyone here get rakeback at Bodog? There is a guy at one of the larger forums (sorry TP ), who says that he can offer rakeback, even for existing accounts. Can anyone here offer the same? Tp, cough, TP. I would much rather give my meager low stakes business to someone I 'know'. If not, is there any real danger of giving out my email addy to the guy? He has lots of posts on that site and has been around for awhile, and he originally got his account switched by a high stakes, well respected player (or so he says).

If there are affiliates out there who can offer rakeback to existing players, I should be able to as well. I'll look into it with my affiliate contact there and let you know.

Ya basically he said that they will trasfer over accounts to a different affiliate, similar ot how Full Tilt has allowed some to do. I am not sure if they will look into specific accounts, and only allow those who havent been playing there to do it. I have been playing there, and probably raking literally dollars and dollars at .10NL

You should have no problem then. There are definately rakeback offers at Bodog (so TP should be able to offer it), but hopefully he can offer it at existing accounts; as it seems others are doing.

Just to let you guys know... I've heard back from Bodog and they are very adamant that they will NOT move players under an affiliate giving rakeback from another one (of course) or from no affiliate (I was hoping they would at least do this). So, unless the response to my follow up email says otherwise, there is nothing I or anyone else can do for those of you with existing Bodog accounts.
For those of you without Bodog accounts, I can and will be offering you rakeback there in the next day or two. I just need to work out a couple of details with the reporting, and then we will be all set to go. For those of you with existing account, you may be able to close them, wait a while, and then "change your mind" and open a NEW account through my affiliate link, but this may not work, especially if you open it under the same name and use the same funding source and so on and so forth. So on the record, I am not recommending that anyone try this, and I would imagine it could lead to you ending up with 0 Bodog accounts. So that's the news for now. |

I'd be AWFULLY interested to see how things work out if you follow up with the other guy. Be careful though.... you never know.
And remember, I can definitely give rakeback to people who open new accounts via my affiliate link. |

Ya, I am not sure what my next move should be. He seems legit, and posts often enough at FCP. Basically he said he just needs my email addy. Any real danger in this, IYO? TP, you should really be sad about this. With the way I am playing, even 2 tabling, $10NL at bodog for sometimes a full hour a day; you could have been making literally hundreds and thousands of from me! |

At last check (granted, a couple months back), Canadians could not register accounts at Bodog using a Canadian address. I believe this has something to do with Bodog having business interests in Canada. They've announced that they are working on something for the new year that will finally allow us Canucks to register and play at Bodog.

I had sent them an e-mail a few months ago, asking why they wouldn't allow Canadians to sign up. This was their response.
Dear Madam/Sir, Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service. Unfortunately, we do not accept Canadian customers at this time. We have a subsidiary in Canada and because of the gray area regarding the legal implications with respect to Internet wagering, we have chosen to not accept Canadian customers. We are working on some minor corporate restructuring which would allow Canadians to join Bodog in the future but this may not be introduced until some time next year. In the mean time, we would be happy to take your email address down and once we do accept Canadian customers we will send you an e-mail. We would be happy to recommend other sportsbooks. Try visiting for other reputable sportsbooks. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. That's kind of gay. I thought online gambling was only biased toward not letting US people play .
Don't I feel American right now
