Assholes at the table
A lot of the "getting people on tilt" talk doesnt bother me at all. Id actually say except for one, none of them get to me.
What REALLY pisses me off is people that suck out on you and then THANK you for the chips. That is the most rude, inconsiderate, and indecent form of behavior at a poker table, and in my eyes is completely unacceptable. This happened in a tournament last night on AP: I had AA in the big blind. 2 limpers, I raised, having them both covered, to 4 big blinds. One call, he flops 2 pair (jacks and 9s). I go all in, he calls, and thanks me. I did have enough chips left to make it a long ways, busted on the bubble (JJ, my nemesis), but this sort of asshole needs to play some 6-bullet russian roulette. Defendant |

Usually I don't care about any of that stuff. If there's a problem with someone, you can just mute them and never have to hear from them again.

What I hate most is when a player puts a bad beat on you then procedes to brag about how he played that hand so great. Just because you won a big pot doesn't mean you didn't play the hand like a dumbass.

Wow, I rarely seeing someone stupid enough to suck you out gloating about it. In fact, I don't remember a time. I see a shit ton of sucks too playing a lot of 2/4 on party.
The only time I become the "asshole of the table" is in two situations: 1) I am always a jerk to anyone who criticizes the play of someone else. I always side witht the idiot because that's who I'm going to be playing in the pots I'm winning. A lot of the "better" players probably don't like me, but I don't care, because they loosen up on me and I only go in with the nuts on 'em. I want the bad playersto be comfy and want to play at the table. Sorry, but I'm the one saying, "nice hand" after KQ beats your AA on the river with a A 2 6 10 J board. 2) When somebody gets mad when I outplay them (always in NL SNGs) and they immediately try to attack my name and assume that I'm a "sand n*****" or a "camel jockey." In that case, I'll berate the player the whole game because that pisses me off. And not because I'm a red-headed farm kid from Indiana. |

The people are jerks to me are funny. They usually make it more interesting/entertaining.
What I hate is when they're insulting the real suckers at the table who are losing lots of money, causing them to leave . This pisses me off so much. Cheers, Gutzz |

The guys that try to "get people on tilt" really don't bother me either. There's always this guy at our home games that tries too hard to do that i.e. showing one card like its the Duke/ Helmuth heads up match or something. Ok, we get it. We know that other card your mucking gave you the nuts so please give it up. He's so obsessed with playing the other people that he never does well. Oh well- more chips for me,
And I agree with the suck outs/ thanks for the chips thing. That pisses me off too... edit: playing the other people, not the cards* |

Have any of you guys tried to fake going on tilt? LIke after have someone suck one out on you on the river, say something to make it look like you're upset and then raise a bunch with a monster hand?
I've tried it once...it sort of work, got one caller and knocekd it down after the flop |

Trash talking online always makes me laugh. Noone has ever gotten to me by what they say. Now if they continually catch bs cards thats the only timei will get mad.

I had someone the other night constently calling me names and questioning my play, esp when he just won a big hand. Got boring and i just ignored him.

People tell me that i should use these things to my advantage, and buddy up with these terrible callers who think that they're better than you. But that is one of the hardest things to do!! I guess that's the next step...
