Default Hammer...No Break Time!

So I have gotten to the point where I can't win. Essentially my mind is fried and the poker part of it doesn't seem to work...either that or this slow run won't end. I feel like after a certain amount of winning at one level I start to devalue the dollar, and I get flaky with money. I tried moving up a level and that worked for a time as well, until I got to an in between stage where I was barely bank rolled for 2/4 and would get up to comfortable and swing down and up a little. This has gone on until a downward trend and I don't enjoy it and go into it knowing I can't make any money. So, I am cashing out, and will try the whole rebuilding method...which is discouraging because the whole point of building a roll is to move up. Oh well, maybe I am forever meant to make little bits of dough at this game... it's no pokee for me (excluding league events) until my xmas break when I will reinvest myself fully and play poker instead of doing the normal job during the breaks.

There are so many of these threads where people say whatever they say during a down swing...I almost didn't post anything here just because it seemed kinda pointless, but I realized this helps me make it official for myself. So, no more bullshit poker. See ya in a month, you nasty faced poker buffoon.

I'll spare the "variance sucks" or "drop a limit" routine.

FWIW, I think it's good that you are taking a break, and I think it's good (for you and for everyone else) that you posted about it... We all need to understand/remember that ALL good players WILL LOSE MONEY from time to time, and even over extended periods of time. That's how this game works.

As a side note, I think you are in a spot I was in not that long ago... You're very CLOSE to being a much bigger winner. Without me sounding like I have some super huge head here, have you watched any of my videos yet? I'm not saying they will help you or will be full of earth shattering info or anything, but people in YOUR situation are how I picture my target audience. And I think it would be awesome if you watched them and something "clicked" for you, kind of like what happened to me after I joined CardRunners.
