OK, I'm on tilt...
-This is BY FAR the worst I have ever run.
-I think I'm still playing well, but I'm not even sure any more. -I miss almost every flop. -No one will fold anything. -They hit every draw, no matter how slim. -I miss every draw, no matter how great of odds they give me (or I'm doing the betting) -REPEAT. Over and over and over. It really is quite a sight. I seriously wouldn't even believe it if I wasn't living it. I'm down for the month now, and by a good bit too. I've very close to actually needing a poker break.... haven't needed one of those in a LONG time. I'm not going to post dozens of bullshit hands, but I will post this one that just happened, because it's the Kiss of Death and it was just SO MUCH FUN!!! And they way there is no doom switch, bullshit.
I seriously start to wonder sometimes, I mean you run pretty normal, winning the percentages you should for a month/6 weeks and then all of the sudden you wake up one day and can't hold a 60/40 for your life, and forger about a coin-flip, it just ain't gonna happen.

I'd been getting run down at Tilt on those types of beats with alarming regularity and have decided to just play at Stars for a while. I know Tilt's not "rigged" but my mind-set there was getting to the point where I was expecting to get run down and I think it was afecting my play. Moving down a level and playing at Stars seems to be helping. Besides I was getting tired of looking at those stupid avatars at Tilt.

that sucks.
if its not fun dont play anymore. if its still fun and decent $ keep playing, dont take a break only b/c you are running poorly if you are still playing well. rememer how long the long run is.

I know man, belive me... but I also know that you know how hard that is...
Didn't you say you actually broke even for all of last month? And I think you had a losing month before that? If so, I find that sort of thing encouraging. It happens to everyone. |

ya.
i am not sure if i had a losing month before my break even one, but either way for 2 months i pretty much didnt win any $. for me, it was entirely b/c I was playing over my head way too often. Edit: ya for the last 2 months I lost money overall. if i somehow manage to end up losing $ this month overall, I would seriously quit poker.

Careful thinking like that.... cause it's not that hard to have a losing monet, you know.
Unless you are already up tons and tons or something. |

ya, the only reason i said that is b/c im up a pretty decent amount this month already, and theres no way I should lose it all in less than 2 weeks.
tho my pokertracker proves that both losing months would have actually been significant winners if I hadn't been taking so many shots. its just hard for me not to take shots because the fact is, most the players playing 25/50 and up got there by taking shots and running well, then upping their game based off their new level that they must learn to play at.

Is that your goal? Do you want to be a regular in the 25/50 game?
I suppose this could change for me (if I ran really well for a long period of time), but right now, I don't see my wanting/needing to play about 5/10. |
