Default Just noticed an interesting stat...(question inside too)

I've been doing fine but not running great for a while, but the past week has been goot. Up $760 in just over 1500 hands, not having a whole lot of time to play. This is all .5/1 and .4/.8 Deepstacks by the way.

So anyway, I was looking at my PT numbers. I haven't imported my old PT database since I got my new laptop, and I just started a new database. It turns out I've been dealt AA 36 times since then. How many times has it won? 36. Scary. I'm not sure what to make of this. Online poker is clearly rigged.

In case anybody was looking for real content, take a gander at this. I just started playing 6-max NL, and I'm really liking it. Stats so far, tell me whatcha think:

VPIP - 21.62
PFR - 13.53
AF Flop - 5.4
Turn - 2.83
River - 1.51
Total - 3.79
VPIPSB - 32.5
Steal blinds - 29.88
Fold SB to steal - 87.95
Fold BB to steal - 77.8
Went to SD - 22.13
Won at SD - 51.87

Hmm, how about stats by position?

Button - 31/24
CO - 20/17
CO +1 - 13/11
UTG - 10/8.8

I know this doesn't tell the whole story but insight anybody? I feel like there are probably some gaping holes here. Postflop aggression? Seems low. Do I call too much preflop? Probably.

Thanks.

These #s are fine at the lower limits. Limping at the lower stakes is probably superior than raising with speculative hands since you can control the pot size more effectively, and overall the competition is going to be far more likely to see a showdown than the higher stakes counterparts, even with the added aggression preflop.

Whereas at medium stakes games you can raise up 67s effectively because people aren't going to go apeshit with 3rd pair and you can probably push them off if they have some weak holding, this just isn't going to happen at the lower stakes games.

Thats odd, I started a new database this month, started playing 6max NL, have fairly similar stats to yours (although yours are better) and I've also been dealt Aces 36 times with 36 wins.

I hear ya, but I don't think this is really the case with me. The thing is, I've tried to stop limping. I do raise with hands like 67s in LP. I stay away from doing stuff like that UTG or UTG +1. I'll overlimp with connectors or a small PP if there are a couple limpers in front of me, but I'll usually raise in position with hands like that after 1 limper too (defend my button).

I think my problem may be cold-calling too much. I'll call raises with suited connectors, 1-gappers when I should probably just fold them. I also don't do much light reraising. That may be something I should start integrating into my play as I move up.

You know, if you'd upload that image here ("Manage Attachments"), we wouldn't have to deal with annoying popups at another site.

As for you 36/36 guys, who ARE you people???

Don't get me wrong, I'm 38/39 this month, which I think is awesome, but my loss was for greater than a $2k pot. That said, I'm still up more with AA ALONE than my totals for the entire month (meaning I am a loser this month if you take out all the AA hands).... so keep em coming!

Based on this, my suggestion would be to start tossing these hands when you are OOP (in the blinds), and start reraising with them SOME of the time when you have position. You don't want to turn into a maniac, but this should help considerably. In position, go ahead and take control of the hand by three betting light. At your level, I don't think you're going to get 4 bet all that often, and I think a good CB will take the pot down most of the time when you are called.

I just started what I hope will turn into an interesting thread, for those wonering how their PT numbers look:

We need more people to contribute to it though, as I only have a decent amount of data for two limits.
