Default I just have to say...

The number of donkeys that have migrated to Full Tilt is quite amazing.

GG Tilt.

I couldn't agree more.

Of course, I think what you meant to say was "GG Party."

GG, Tilt

Well played, Party

I'm just glad I can find a game more often and not have to wait so long for SNG's to fill up.

Funny that I am complaining about the opposite I complained about at Stars or Party, being I wish their lower buy-in tourneys attracted more people. The stars 3000+ were hopeless, but I'd like a few more than 210.

Some people are just never happy I guess.

On that note, do any of you smaller buy-in players wait to see which side of next 100 players the game is gonna attract before you get in? Meaning I would play in a game that has 201 players over one with 199 since the payouts go from 18 players to 27.

Does that make a difference to you at all?

Definately, I try to catch tournies that go 'just over' like that.

In thinking this way, you are concerned w/ one thing: getting ITM. Is that the point if playing MTTs? It shouldn't be.

You recently posted stats (I don't remember the thread) where you had a bunch of MTT results. You actually are profiting from these lower buy-in tournaments for one reason: you hit 2nd in one of them and pulled close to $150 (I don't know the exact number but this is a close enough guess). Surprisingly, look at your total profits. See any similarities?

You've heard it before, but I guess it didn't sink in: Don't play for ITM... play for the top half of the FT. If that means busting on the bubble, then deal w/ it.

So, in answer to your question: No. And to be honest, I've never even looked at that breakdown...

give me 199 over 201 anyday. Unless its a huge buyin, then i guess id take a return over a higer $$ for winning.

Well, the thing with me is that a lot of the tournies I play in are smaller guaranteed purses with an overlay, so if the extra X people aren't adding to the pool, I don't want them anyway. I do see your point in general.

Lou, I can't say I disagree with your point of view and that was actually in the back of my mind when I asked the question.

Recently I cashed in more and more tourney's, but they have all been small cashes (first or second level payout) and I couldn't decide if I was playing badly once I got in the money or playing badly approaching the money, still am not sure to be honest.

I know withinn 10-15 players of the bubble I am still lacking, but I think I get into a "go for broke" mentality once I get in the money.

actually, tho you shouldnt be looking just to get ITM, I think it's totally fine to look for tournies like you are. You are gaining EV by finding tournaments with a higher % of people being paid out. I don't see how it could be a bad practice.
