that ended up being an awesome idea of mine.

i sat with 6k, and left with $20,317 which is insane cuz i dont play limit, and i was beating freakin 100/200.

i was hitting some cards but nothing insane. My aggression is what did it for me, i was bluffing them alot, and i dn if i got buffed the whole time. most the time it was HU or 3 handed. I also got an amazing millionare limit player i know from down here railed me a bit over the internet, just tellin me where i messed up after the hand -no time to ask during hand cuz it was speed tbl (7 sec. decisions).

anyway, that was awesome. and I learned a ton already, having some1 rail and just say what u did wrong while its goin on helps so much. The main thing i learned was u should value bet Alot of weak hands on the river (where i would typically check behind)

heres biggest hand i won:

PokerStars Game #6548570763: Hold'em Limit ($100/$200) - 2006/10/07 - 06:15:39 (ET)
Table 'Idaios III' 10-max Seat #7 is the button

*** SHOW DOWN ***
JDpoker$tar7: shows [As Qh] (three of a kind, Aces)
hg_bg: mucks hand
JDpoker$tar7 collected $2999 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $3000 | Rake $1
Board [3s 7h Jh Ac Ad]
Seat 6: JDpoker$tar7 (small blind) showed [As Qh] and won ($2999) with three of a kind, Aces
Seat 7: hg_bg (button) (big blind) mucked [Ah 2d]

it was fun cuz it was fast, and still alot of $, and ur whole stack was never at jeopardy. I really like limit now, but if I play it'd have to be 15/30+ i'd say. I'm def. looking forward to learning how to play it much better.

So you turned $500 into over $20k in a little over 3 hours?

Trying something new?

That's sick.

Nice run. I wouldn't expect this to happen regularly if you tried it again and again though. You'll likely go broke much more often than you get to $20k.

Then again, you could go broke with $500 TEN TIMES IN A ROW and still have yourself a $10k overall profit. Nicely done.

Hopefully I'll be around the next time you do this. I think I'd like to at least watch, and maybe give it a go myself on different tables than you, but at the same limits.

So, you ONLY made like $17,000 in 3 hours, not $20,000.....I was ALMOST impressed.
