Like I said 10 - 8 isn't that bad of a hand =P....j/k. Yeah, you should step down your limits until your bankroll can adjust to the swings you'll bound to take. Just hang in there.

I've hit the same type of streak, Brian. After being up to $450, I had a HORRIBLE two day period and was down to $115. I am back up to $160 now. I just went back down to .25/.50 and am working on the bankroll. By the way, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, but I think the "play through it" type of advice about these streaks is HOGWASH. If you feel a session is a disaster, STOP PLAYING. I didn't and lost HUGE. |

Gutcheck time
Are you letting it impact the decisions you are making? Is your bankroll depleted to a point where you are playing with scared money? Are you tired, drunk, or otherwise off your A-game? If so, absolutely, stop immediately.
But if you have just suffered a few devastating suck-outs in a row, that may well mean people are calling with hands they shouldn't. And that is an opportunity to win your $ back, plus some, because we all know that swings happen, but in the end, the better players will take money from the weaker ones. |

the problem i used to have was losing patience when a run of bad cards hit me. Ive got better recently at playing tighter when such a run occurs.
Obviously your bankroll will take a hit during this time which is why its always best to stay within your limits. Ive said this before elsewhere, if i start playing badly or feel myself going on tilt (weve all been there) i either drop limits or if im already playing at a lower limit, start playing freerolls and play money games til my game picks up

Better players may take money from the weaker ones in the LONG run, but not necessarily over the short haul. Streaks DO happen. In the last week, I have raised pocket As and slow played pocket As. Same thing with Ks. I have played them both ways, have raised for respect, and lost to suckouts. It happens. I'm not blaming others and I'm not crying. I am just saying that streaks happen and sometimes tomorrow is a better day to play.

Yes
good news after dropping below $50 my hands finally started to hold up to the river and now im back up to $178.00. Ive been playing in 1.00/2.00 i seem to like that level. Check this out everyone jetted from my table except one guy with 30 bucks 15 minutes latter he had .40 and left hehe. well down to 168.00 but thats ok.

I blew about $300 at the $2/4 table the other night ???????
 Just played crappy I guess... (Although there were a LOT of suckouts on the river when I had the best all the way until) However, there is good news.... I just made it all back and more at the $5/10 on Absolute.

Not a bad take down at all. Stick w/ it. Don't do anything stupid like play in an expensive tournament or sit at a higher stakes NL table.

ok
ok at work today ended the day at 181.00 wish im very happy with having ok sucess at the small buy in MTT and very very good sucess at the low table ring games. Gotta admit my tables today on stars was silly people that really just wanted to give you there money so I thank all you stars players for more then tripleing my bankroll.

Got 4th and 5th in 3 $20 tourneys on pokerroom, blinds got tooo high!! and then lost alot in limit. i am pretty raging right now
