Default Poker show sets

Does anyone else like the setting and overall atmosphere of the WSOP far more than the WPT? Ever time I watch the WPT, it seems so cheesy to me. Maybe it's those lights or just the set design overall. I don't know, but either way, the WSOP gives off a more genuine feel to me.

Yes I agree, the WPT sets seem kind of cheesy

Whenever watching poker reminds you a little of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" you know its a bad thing.

WPT was created for TV, or atleast thats how it seems. To creat a tour and to make lots of money. I prefer the WPT becasue it is cheesy and thats the funny thing.

Agree with TuffLuck here, WPT is cheesy and WSOP has the look of a real poker room at least, I like that.

I love the WPT. I know its alot of bells and whistles, but I watch it whenever possible. Also, I know we have discussed this before, but I think Mike Sexton, and Vince Van Patten do a great job. Ya I know people dont like VVP, but listening to Norman Chad makes me want to kick the TV, every friggin time. Please lets start something to have someone, anyone else, do the WSOP than those 2 boring idiot geeks.

I have to agree that WSOP coverage is more representative of the poker room feel, but IMO they could be playing in Vince Van Patten's Basement for all I care, as long as I can get my weekly poker fix. It is still poker.

If the next wave of fish want to see it played on a "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" set to get them hooked then so be it.

Don't get me wrong. I love the WPT- it's still poker! Anytime I catch it, I watch it. It's just that I like the setting of the WSOP far more. Whatever, both have their downsides- the WSOP has Norman afterall. (Even though I've laughed at some of his jokes )
