Turbo Tournaments

Does anybody like these?

I think they are the dumbest thing ever.
I just won an entry into the Sunday 350K event on Stars with one of these tourneys.
I will never play one of these again.
It basically came down to playing against the clock.
But with no strategy involved... Oops 7-3off.... wait until timer starts then fold. etc.

Finished 18th (Payed 18 spots to Sunday ... WHEW!!!!)
I was blinded all-in with 20 left (Came down to stack size to decide placing)
Oh yeah, Blinds were 10k-20k when I was pushed all in.... F*cking ridiculous.

Oh well, Wish me luck Sunday.

Feel like joining Sunday TP?
Maybe a little side wager on who goes deeper?

Play the Party Speed Freeroll. It gets so stupid after a point. Once it's like 300 spots away from the money, people start slow playing and using the time bank, by the time it comes back around the blinds raise 3 levels or so and you're all in on the BB. Way too much luck involved.

I like the PS turbo tourneys to the 350K on Sundays for sure since like 400+ get in and over 70 seats are given out so almost a 1/4 chance of winning a seat... doesnt get any better than that.

The ultimate crap shoot and just the opposite of a regular tourney, you gotta double up several times early, no choice. Even the ads on Party say "Pick a hand and go all-in" well thats about the size of it.

I am very strongly agaisnt these tournaments. For one, it is just giving party poker more vig over the stupidest tournies ever, and secondly, the large majority of people who play in these tournies are idiots and should be throwing their money away to me, not to some other idiot. But I guess it'a all coming back anyway (hopefully), but it just seems a shame that all of these fish could be playing the games that we play, not just the poker lotto.

I never, ever play these turbo tournaments. Doesnt fit my style of play. YOu know playing good solid poker. some of the regular tournies actually increase too fast as compared to starting chip stacks in my opinion.
