Default Party Stupidity (Shocking, I know)...

So, I had a $200 bonus in my account - 2400 raked hands and 10 days to clear. With me in Vegas , Iknew that would be tough, so I decided to wait until the last minute to claim it. I was going to do it earlier today, but really wanted to wait as long as possible to do it. Turns out my dumb ass forgot and was like an hour late.

So, I call Party up and explain. I add that it said the bonus was good until 11:59 PM and it's not even 11 yet. Sure, I realize NOW that they were talking about the east coast, but since I am in egas for the WSOP, I got "confused." Is there any chance they will still honor it?

After talking to a regular customer service rep and a supervisor, it turns out the answer is no. Apparently, 2 hours ago, me playing 2400 raked hands (and you know my raked hands aren't at low limits) was worth $200 to them, but now it's not. So that's fine, I'll just continue to play elsewhere and leave my Party account dormant.

Great site, dont get me wrong, but they have the flat out worst customer service around, and the business decisions they make are horrendous.

Let's do the math (I'll try to use reasonable numbers): At a 6 max table, the max rake is $2. Most hands seem to be raked the max, but let's say the average is only $1.75. With an average of 5 players in the game, that's 35 cents per hand they make off of my play. Multiply that by 2400 hands and you get $840.

So, for them to honor this deal, they would get $840-200=$640.
Instead, by not honoring it, they get $0.

Good business decision Party Poker. Really.
