It's well worth the money. And if you think about it, it only costs a single raise if you are playing $15/30

When I get PT, and tell it to look for my Party Poker hands? I'm guessing it can do that. Will it load all of them into its database.

Wait, i'm not asking this right. start over..

Can someone give me a brief description of what I can expect from PT once I get it and use it with my Party Poker hand histories... ie, getting started... is it pretty easy to set up?, intuitive?, stuff like that...

There is a forum link at the top of their main page. This is where you can find FAQs and answers to your questions.

There are alot of articles on 2+2, PT Faq area, and other places that describe what the stats mean. I use the AutoRating features also to get a quick Icon representation of what my opponents tendencies are. See my other posting here for a link.

I guess I just don't see the point in asking and answering specific qyuestions about Poker Tracker here, when there is an entire site, a FAQ, and even a forum dedicated to it.

Don't get me wrong, I think PT is great. I use it, I love it, and it's worth every penny... Just seems pointless for people to ask things like what sites are supported and whatnot when all that information is available right there on his web site. The best answer I can give to all of these questions is this:

Pokertracker is absolutely awesome. A must have. and only 55 bucks!

Has anyone here seen this 'www.poker-edge.com' thing? I saw it last night (don't remember who directed it to me). looks kinda creepy. I guess it would be in your best interest to be labelled a fish?

I dunno, looks kinda iffy...

Cheers,

Gutzz

What I found on the PT site were answers to general questions... specific questions were generally answered in a very general way... that is how most sites are....

anyway...

i got PT and registered it and as I expected, getting it started is not very intuitive, for the average person.. lucky for me, I'm not the average person....

I managed to get all my Party info into it, including the Tourny summaries
( 137 of them ) that had to be input manually.

My two main things are 1) I have no idea what to look for 'to find holes in my game'. 2)Autorate/filters Altho I didn't look into this aspect all that much, the lil I did explore looked very confusing to me.

I did discover, that out of all the tourneys I've played on PP, the amount spent for buyins and fees is less than the amount won, a difference of apprx 150 dollars... I guess that means I'm ahead a bit, tourny wise. Did not xplore the ring game part all that much.. prolly not enuff data there to determine anything anyway...

all in all, it looks pretty neat.. i got alot of experimenting and exploring to do, in order to use it to its full potential, and its something I look forward to....

Edit: I also ordered the book Theory of Poker, Sklansky(sp). Heard and read some decent things about this book.
