Okay, we've all heard about them and their plans for a $60million winner-take-all SNG. We've also probably already read that this year's game, although 4 people were allegedly confirmed, has been cancelled by FSN. They claim (for those that haven't read it) that producing it and the PokerDome series simultaneously wasn't feasible.
Anyway, when they first launched their site you could sign up to receive notice and they said they would send you a book on playing poker. I signed up, figuring, "what the hell, it's free. Sure, I'll get spammed from here until eternity from now on, but what's another piece of spam?" I figured I would get, if I got anything at all being in Canada, a little pamphlet that outlines the rules of HE poker.
The "book" actually arrived today. It just got here so I haven't had a chance to read it but it's a 120 pages in magazine style format. It's bound similar to what a Maxim or oversized graphic novel would be - heavy stock cover/back/bind with full color glossy pages.
I think you can still sign up to get this book. It probably won't help everyone here, but the way I see it, the more you can read on poker, the better your play will get!
