Default Does anyone utilise T$ and W$???

Simple poll.

As we all know stars has tourney bucks (T$) and event bucks (W$) which can be used to buy into events instead of real money.

You can buy these at a few sites.

Vote yes if you buy them as its cheaper than the real money buy in

Vote no if u dont, and pay cash

Vote didnt know if you didnt know sites paid them

Im asking this as im about to create a site, with better %s than any other site, with 24/7 support, which i will market the fuck out of, itll be advertised everywhere i can get it on, hopfully this forum if TP still agress to our deal?

I remember us chatting about it (since I had been so close to opening this very business a couple of years ago and you wanted to pick my brain), but I don't remember us talking about any sort of affiliate deal. Sounds good to me though.

good job.

Can more people vote please

ill let you all know when we are running.

As a side thing, i will also be offering site transfers. Say u have $500 on stars, need it on party within 5 minutes, send it me, and for a small fee, ill send it you there.

It will all be legally binging and stuff.

Hey theres a thing - Reel and AEQ, how can i make a binding contract online that if u send to me first, as im not stupid, i will 100% send it back on a different site? Is there a way, some kind of disclaimer or something

haaaaaaaaahahaha!

In eejit's defense, Neteller won't get money from Site A to Site B in 5 minutes.

Of course, in Neteller's defense, I suspect they don't get scammed NEARLY as much as eejit will. Hmmm... I think it might be about time to dig up a SECOND kkirk-scammed-someone thread in the very same day! You know the thread, I mean, dontcha shabi?

NO, the way i have it planned it.....

We offer the basic, a W$ and T$ trading service, something around 86% and 94%, those are my base figures, with more of a discount for bulk buyers, and regular users. IM also toying with having people sign up with usernames on the site, then i can run promos like do this 25 times, get 1 trade up to T$500 for full price e.t.c. something like that

We will possibly do the play money buying and selling, but i dont see the point in it, and it wont make much money so it may not be worth the hassle. someone feel free to disagree with me if i should do it.

Now the trading thing. I set up a business account, like rogue has with TalkingPoker, but at all sites with P2P transfers. If a neteller withdrawal takes 48 hours, and u miss the tourney u wanna play, i can help. Say i charge 5% ish, you can mvoe your bankroll from one site to another INSTANTLY. Of course, the people send all of it first, hence me asking for the disclaimer help from RD and AEQ, saying i will not keep it, and i will send 95% of the amount transferred to their account at the site(s) they choose. SO far i have stars, party, CD, jetset, AP and one mroe if orget the name of in line to do this with.

ANyone got any thoughts?

Anyone wanna pitch in and bankroll some of it, therefore being a partner? (seriously)

ANyone know where else i can market this except her and the 2 other forums i belong too? IM thinking 2+2 may be a good idea?

There a hell of alot of money to be had doing this i think, and if i set the site up right, it would be sweet.

TP, are you up for the affiliate type thing, ill just track how many you send by a small bok saying where u came from, and give u a % of each ones profit i make, not alot, but worth having my banner.

Like I told you in AIM that night, you have a couple of big road blocks ahead of you, and it sounds like you haven't thought about either of them much since:

1. You are going to need an assload of money to be able to do this right. I'd say $100,000 if you want to clean up throughout the WCOOP. I don't think it's even worth trying to get started with less than $50k.

2. You're never going to get enough sellers to match the demand from the buyers. The people who sell are already happy selling to whoever they sell to now, so you're oging to have to beat their prices (by a good bit), which cuts WAY into your margin if you are planning on selling cheaper too.

Related to that, where are you going to find new sellers? Where are going to advertise? SPAM won't get you far (at all), and legit advertising is going to cost you a fortune.

There is definitely a lot of money to be made in this market, which is why I almost set this all up a couple of years ago... but it's going to take a LOT of time and hard work as well. It sounds to me like you've fallen in love with the idea of this business, but I don't think you have a solid business plan. Not solid enough that I'd be willing to invest with you, anyway.

GL.

IM not sure if to read that one of two ways.....

1 - your telling me to think about it more, which im doing now, im writing a plan this last 4 hours, god my hand hurts.

2- your telling me to rethink my ideas, get some marketing planned, and youll decide if to invest

The way i see it is........

Marketing plans - Forum advertising, website top of google lists if i can fix that, word of mouth, stars advertising on tables and with the avatars, i can egt people i know to use my site for their avatar for $20 a pop each, apart from that im a bit out of ideas. I just checked, im signed up with 17 forums, about 4 of which people are serious about the game, so if i can get those 4 interested, it wont be too bad. here is big kinda, 2+2 is tooo big, therefore has a huge database.

Ive just emailed stars with an idea, im gonna see what they say about it, if i were them id do it!

And im looking at getting the site done in 2 weeks, getting a bank business account/loan in 3 weeks max, already moving with that, and the wales development agency is gonna give me a grant for some of it, they are into web business im told.

If ANYONE has any ideas on -

Marketing, things i haent thought of
the law side of it - disclaimers ( please reply AEQ/RD!! )

You can write any legal disclaimer you want. That doesn't mean shit though. If you want business, you'll need trust, and writing a fancy promise on a web site isn't going to do it - not even if a "lawyer" writes it for you (ooohhh, fancy!). You'll need to build a reputation. Word of mouth will be your BEST marketing available. It always is.

As for your ideas, I could punch holes in most of them, but I won't. Well, one............... Advertising here. Yes, I'm sure you would be able to sell LOADS of $W and $T here (hell, I'll buy them), but that's not the problem. The problem is going to be you BUYING them. Can you name ONE person here who will sell them to you? I kinda doubt it. But even if you could name 10 (no way in hell), that's NOTHING.

Keep at it, work on that business plan... but I suspect you'll eventually come to the conclusions I came to a couple of years ago after I did my due dilligence.

Now go prove me wrong and make tons of money.

I was gonna do this as well Eejit, but after thinking about it, Id rather be playing poker with all the time I'd spend on this. TP is right, its a fuckload of work. Good luck though man, and I will definitely buy all of your stock and make you rich!

SOmeone just -repped me saying - "how are you going to buy them, your fucking nuts"

Im going to buy them by simply starting a business, and getting some capital. Its a simple business plan, then i go to my bank / the wales grant people, who are interested, get it set up, get my bankroll on the account, and start buying and selling.

Geez... its all explained here clearly, theres money to be made, its just a long winded thing.

The question didn't ask how you're going to find the capital to buy them, it was how you're going to find sellers. That seems like one of the major roadblocks so far.

Capital - business grant from the WDA 9 wlesh development people, simple enough)

Capital - bank loan for businesses as i know my bank manager well and he plays poker and oferred to help me set this up.

Basic capital ill have probably is $50k - $70k, with $10k in neteller for intersite transfers.

marketing - speaking to google/yahoo. FOrums such as this, 2+2, a few im on. TP mentioned to me an ad in card player and the UKs poker mags, this is a genious idea and one im looking in to now. Also advertising on tables in sattys in stars, they have said this is fine and i can get somone i know to do this for me easily. I can also get an AD on poker night live on TV in the UK/europe for cheap, and their forum is huge, but badly made, so i am trying to get something going there too

Spending big money on advertising is a nice idea, but there are obvious (?) problems with it:

1. You're going to attract more buyers than sellers, which doesn't solve your problem - it just forced you to have EVEN MORE money to cover the transactions.
2. The cost of advertising is going to negate your profit margin and then some. I suspect you'll be running in the red for a long, long time.
3. No way (IMO) would you recoop your investment advertising with google/yahoo/etc.

Did Stars really tell you hey would allow you to spam? Cause they told me the exact opposite - In fact, my "business account" is disabled for both chat and play.

From your recent posts, I think you're setting yourself up to fail even bigger than I thought you were originally. You planning on paying back that bank loan???

Again, prove me wrong and GL. But I can tell you still haven't written an even semi-comprehensive business plan. You know, one with numbers in it, for starters.
