The number of times he's probably called and been ahead would probably make you just as sick.

Was this some ultra-low buy-in?

And obviously his move was ridiculous, but is that a play you're always making with 99 in that situation? You still have more than 20x the bb. I don't see any need to push 99 there. If A4 doesn't push, TT calls and you suck out. Maybe impatient, but too early to get desperate with 99, IMO.

not too low of a buy 35+3 - 6 handed

(my new favorite tourny is the newly introduced 112+9 6 handed NON turbo that stars just introduced recently by the way -- I hated playing the 110 +9 6-way jus because it was only offered in turnbo)

And no the move with 99 isnt one I'd make every single time. I HIGHLY doubt this guy had TT even though he said he did -- the reason I made the push is this guy had been opening a HUGE amount of pots preflop, and I was pretty sure I had the best hand.

That and I was tilting a little -- I had TT the hand right before and the guy who said he folded TT this hand has AK. AK raised, I reraised with TT he calls. Flop came Q high with 2 unsuited rags. he checked and I bet he called. The turn paired the low card. He checked I bet he called. Turn came an Ace, he he checked I checked -- then told me I 'priced him in' (hence the discussion at the beginning of the HH, and me being short stacked )
