Bankrolls
I have played at the same home game for about a month and a half now. Myself and one other player always seem to pla each other like 5 times a week so we were thinking about pooling oir bankrolls and playing in seperate games. My question to you all is that if any of you have pooled bankrolls before or know nything about it. Is there anything i should be weary of and boundries we should set up anything like that? I trust the kid with my life so thats not an issue. Our bankroll is currently at $150 ($75 each). Not bad for $.05/$.10 NL games and we are both curently winning consistantly.
Rules~~ ~~25% of each winning session goes to each player ~~50% goes toward the bankroll ~~Any time a bankroll increase is necisarry we put in even amounts ~~Either Player may only drop $15 (3 Max Buy ins) Per game We obviously wont be playing together any more so we wont "KNOW" what the other won but like i said i trust him. Is there any other rules we should establish? |

How are you dealing with the losing sessions? Or are the just coming out of the initial bankroll?
Something to think about: You lose $10 in session 1 and win $10 in session 2. By your rules, after the first session, you would keep $2.50, give the other guy $2.50, and add $5 to your bankroll. After session 2, you would pull $10 out of your bankroll. So, the net would be +$2.50 for the other guy, $+2.50 for you, and -$5 for the bankroll. Is that what you want? If so, that's fine... but really, all you've done to this point is played break even poker. Seems kinda silly to pull out the $2.50s, if you ask me. You're both just going to have to put them back in eventually. |

We are counting our "Sessions" as one weeks worth of play...Also we are going to try an maintain our bankroll of $150 at least so if it drops we will both put in $2.50 an come out even. The step of 25 25 50% just comes before evening the bankroll to make it easier to determine winning sessions
