Bad Beat Yourself
Do you ever get to a point in a tourney and lose your mind and bad beat yourself. heh. I was playing the 5K freeroll. I got down to 25th place or so, and I had a major brain fart and went out with AK after the flop to trip sevens. I am not sure why I kept pressing raise. It was not very smart. It was like I got to a point and wanted to lose or something. I had plenty of chips and could at least have made it up a few pay levels. I think sometimes you just get so tired of concentrating for so long that it kills you. Anyone else experience this?

This happens often to me, and it's one of the reasons I am still learning this game. I admit, it will only happen in a bigger tournament, but I completely understand what you're talking about.
It's especially frustrating when you are, at one point, chip leader!

Sometimes. But I try not to commit all my chips, so I still have chips left and I can get away from a hand,

It just goes to show how you van't lose your concentration even once in a big tourney.... Now imagine playing 6+ 14 hours DAYS at the WSOP! And people wonder why Arieh was a dick sometimes...

Been there done that. Worst was where I was 6th with 12 players left in a tournament. Top 10 got paid.
Went all in with AQsuited preflop. Lost to AA. Still don't know why I did it. I now hate AQsuited. |

I hear ya
You are right. I was hanging in there while my buddy was talking to me on IM. He keep me focused. Once he had to go to sleep I made my big mistake. I can not IMAGINE doing six days of that! Even worse doing six days of that and bubbling out! ug!
