Absolute tourney 1 left till final table
Last night I played a $25 freeroll at Absolute Poker. It got down to 10 players and top nine made final table, but ONLY 5 places paid out. They proceded to play one hand at the first table then that table had to wait for a hand to be played out at the other table....etc....etc.
As it turns out, this went on for 30-45 mins due to everyone playing really tight and short stacks getting lucky doubleing up. Anyone know if this is that same in ALL tourneys there? Why would they do this when it isn't on the bubble to the money? At the very least they should let both tables play a hand simultaniously and then as soon as both are done, then next starts. It was PAINFULLY SLOW. |

That really doesn't make much sense at all if they only paid the top 5. I guess they think making the final table is enough compensation enough to go hand by hand.

I guess they believe some people will slow down the game to get to the final table, and give themselves more of a shot.
Also, the AP $25 is crazy. 1200 ish ppl join. How did you do?

very wierd
going hand to hand just for final table never seen any system go hand in hand unless money cut or higher money cut. By the way way to go on your 9th and good luck in the next one.

I wouldn't have had a problem with hand-to-hand....this was we play one whole hand, then go to pause while youplay one whole hand, then you pause while we play....etc.
If they start them both and then just wait for both to finish before starting the next one, that doesn't add TOO much time to the game, but this DOUBLED it! |

I'm all for hand for hand.
Let's say they pay out top 48 and 53 are left sitting at tables like so: 9 persons 9 persons 8 Persons 9 Persons 9 Persons 9 Persons Wouldn't you hate to not be playing hand for hand if you were at the 8 person table?

That's one of the strangest systems I've heard about. Especially when its only for the final table, and still five spots away from the money.

ya
we all get why they do that but they where going hand in hand 4 spots before the money I guess thats kinda close but most systems with only 10 players left will wait till 7 at least (2 away from money) to go to hand to hand. |

Why would you go hand to hand when there's only one table left?
