If I have $80 what cash game limit should I play on stars?

If you stick with the general rule of 300xBB, then you're fine for 10c/25c.

80 dollars to blow tonight or 80 dollars total. i would stick with .5/.10 if you only have 80 total. its not hars to make ten there.

general rule of thumb for NL is 10 - 20 buy ins

Im taking a guess that .05/.10 is 10 dollar max buy in?. Which means you'd be a little short of the minimum required (only 8 buy ins).... but eh I say go for it anyway. (awaiting a TP bashing)

PS: Is this 80 dollars your entire bankroll... or the money that you have online... would you be willing to deposit 80 more if you lost for example? If so then you are properly rolled for this game

I misread your title - I assumed you were talking about "limit" cash games.

Play 5c/10c, it's a good way to start.

I think this sounds reasonable. I'd prefer he sit at a $5 max buy in, but if he wants to take a shot or two at $10, that should be ok, provided he moves down if he busts out two or three times in a row.
