Default How much do gears change once ITM?

Just wanted to hear some opinions. I tend to be way too tight after ITM. I know thats got to be a flaw. Usually im Slightly below to avg stack.

It depends. If I get to the money with a decent stack I tighten up. Usually in tournaments, I play tight to start, then when the bubble comes close, I loosen up because people get scared to play (they are thinking about only making money, not making it deep), then once in the money, I go back to playing tight. Plus, having played slightly loose before the money, I have that image, so when switching to tight, I get more callers than I might have otherwise.

If I am short stacked when I hit the money, I usually do the all-in or fold play. If I double up, I can play tight again, if not, I am likely out with a small profit.

As soon as im in the money with any kind of stack every hand im looking to make it bigger. Always going for the win, not just placing can pay off. Get alots of just after the bubble finishes, but alot of wins too

lol that doesnt answer his question. but once im itm it all depends on stack if your short stacked find a decent hand to dive with. if im avg stack or above avg stack i play tight, but if you make it to top 5 or so loosen up cuz your odds of cacthing are greater shorthanded

Default see thats what i thought someone would say

Does that not seem weird that at least one of the replies said something to the effect of "take all of the skill out of the hand and push it in preflop". Just dont see how thats +EV or helpful with the ROI for the trny. I know when your short stacked and get monster AA, KK then big stack will usually call anyway. What if say the avg stack is 10k for "A" , the online poker tournament, and you are sitting right on 10k. What about 6k? What about 20k? What if you are the chip leader?

i go very loose if big stacked, try and mop up everything, works well, and short stacked very agressive on premium hands, see the flop if i have a marginal hand and believe i can outplay them on the flop or something. depends on the size, if im the average ill start firing at the blinds.

This makes no sense

just cuz your large stacked or chip leader doesnt mean you should play very loose like a donk.

Once im ITM the blinds are usually big, and u should be looking to steal pots way more often when in the right position, and should be very aggressive at $ jumps when ppl tighten up. If ur looking to FT a tournament that's the only way to play.
Way too many ppl sit around and wait for cards and consistantly cash ITM but at the back of the pack, and get a FT in once every 50 times. - if u want to give urself the best chance at every FT u can't be too afraid to go broke - u gotta be aggressive, but at the right times.
