I havent seen anyone post about this torney yet, saw most of it last night. 1st thing I got to say is Hellmuth and Madasow at the same table omg. This was some of the most fun TV I have seen in awhile.

Steve Danaman going off on Hellmuth was classic "no one should buy your book or watch youre dvd because you are a punk". Wow where did that come from, do you think he should of gotten had to sit out for that? do you think hellmuth was slowing up the game? I dont think so but thought it was funny as hell. I loved how the cowboy wore earplugs the whole time.

discuss.....

I thought it was really funny because Dannennman said "Nobody should by your books or CDs." CD's???? We know he meant DVD's, but still.

I really don't like how Hellmuth thinks he's above normal poker rules, like stacking chips, or showing down cards if asked. He's an elite poker player, but to expect people to bend the rules for you is wrong.

I caught most of this, and thought it was very entertaining. Great players, good poker, and good tv.

And yeah, the chat was pretty good too.

Once again, the more I watch Hellmuth, the less I respect him. He's a great player - don't get me wrong - but he acts like a spoiler brat. I know part of that is his schtick, but you can tell that most of it is just who he is.

Gotta say you were right and I was wrong TP, the more I watch Mike the Mouth, the more I'm starting to like him. Loved when he pushed all-in w/rags against Hellmuth's PFR w/A8, priceless... you could practically see the steam coming out of Phil's ears after that hand. Great TV.

Yeah, that was good, but I still like Hellmuth.

Matusow's verbal jabs would've have a lot more behind them if he could get them out with out stammering and stuttering. It seems like I've seen him marblemouth it a few times when trying to be coy.

He sounds like a GED education.

Yeah, he'd definitely benefit from a few days at Camp Shabi.

Danneman is worse than Mat. or Hell and I'll tell you why
Anyone who has to call their friend on a cell phone to tell them he just bluffed Howard Ledener out of a pot has no life. At least Hell and Mat talk smack to your face man to man instead of being a scumbag who got caught talking smack by a TV camera behind everyones back.

Put yourself in his shoes. His friend was getting half of his winnings, this was his first big poker experience and he was having the time of his life. When I first saw that, I was annoyed too, but then I thought about it some more and realized where he was coming from.

I'm not saying he's the best player in the world, but I do think he's a good guy, and I have no problem with him whatsoever.

When I first saw him (Dannenmann) I hated him too! He called a PFR with garbage cards from the BB HU. Then he check raised (but according to him he "reraised" which started all of my hatred!) then got lederer to fold...afterwards he thought he was so cool like he pulled the greatest move ever and called his friend

Then again he called howards PFR with garbage cards HU i think K5...flops TP and moves in first to act -- i was so glad howard busted him

after that when you began to see move of him I started liking him more and more, and i think he was real cool except for that first day

I actully like him alot, I mean think about it if you were in his shoes wouldnt you be a little like him? I mean you get half the buy in from your friend wouldnt you want to tell him how good your doing. He was very very very supersticious (sp) he phone calls after every level because everytime he did he made it to the next level. I mean damn he wore the same shirt for a week, he made some silly moves but also made some great ones. When he pushed all in with a set with a flush draw out that was great because with his play ability there was no way he was getting away from the hand if the flush made it.

You all make good points.
I'm just looking at it from my point of view.
I never razz anyone or gloat till i'm home busted or counting money.
Because there is nothing worse than talking smack about your good play on someone then getting busted out 2 hands later. Makes you feel about as big as a chick pea trying to feed the chinese army after mandatory pot smoking training.
