Stars Sunday $215
I just qualified for the 3rd time to the $215, $500,000 Guarenteed tourny through a $13 satellite.
My bankroll is currently around $6,000 - and i dn if i should actually play in the event, or just unregister and get the $215. The other 2 times played in it , one time i busted out in the 1st hour, and the other time i got knocked out 30 before the $. Just wondering what you guys think I should do because I am unsure of which would be best.

you have a bankroll of $6000 to begin with so 215 is not a huge deal so I would play in it if you have enough time available

If you feel that you can play comfortable in it (at that buy in amount), I say go for it. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

I can sit and play 3 tables of $1/2 6 max with $200 in each room very comfortably, but for some reason I never really play Big tournaments.
What is the rule for the how many buy ins for tournaments u should have ?

Do it dude.
I won an entry into the party 215 for this sunday, and I will definitely be playing in it. If you think about it 215 isnt a huge boost to your roll. Back when I first won an entry to the stars tourney I unregistered and used the T$ to grind in SNGs helping to build my roll. But now that were both young and rich , I see no reason not to treat ourselves.

the only way you will ever see if you can get to the next level is by playing and doing well in bigger buyin tournies.
You can cash in all the $20 180 SNGs you want but by playing these types of tournies you will get to see how much you have improved or still need to improve. I say go for it, as they say "Any Given Sunday"... you could be making life changing money by the end of Sunday or if nothing else you will learn alot by playing in this tourney. |

If you go by the 5% rules, it would be 20. Bare minimum.

Your in win/win situation. If you bust in the tourney then its not like you paided 215. When you play $1/2 with $200 thats affecting your bankroll, moving it up and and down. By playing you have nothing to lose. You can either do good and win money or back out and collect 215 or bust in the tourney and atleast collect experience it's all up to you

Okay, my bad. I knew you were 18. Are some sites 21+ only?

This is bad logic that losing players use to justify their losses. $215 = $215, no matter where it came from. If you lose it, you lost $215, not $3. If you win $1 million in the lottery and then literally LOSE it ("I know I put that million around here somewhere"), you can't just shrug it off and say, "Well, I really only lost $1, so it's no big deal." No, you just lose $1 million.
But regardless, JD's question isn't how much he'll lose if he plays with this $215. He's asking if he should put it all into one big tourney, or if he should play a bunch of smaller ones with it. |

He already has a $6000 bankroll so i say go for it. You earned it, so i think you should give it a shot. If your good enough to win your way there, then your good enough to hold your own in the tourney.
