Missing Flop
When you raise pre-flop with a good hand and miss the flop do you just fold? Sometimes I can raise again and get the others to fold but im not sure what exactly to do.

even if i miss i still raise at the flop a good majority of the time. If someone raises ahead of me and its not too much i just might call. If someone pushes there hard you just fold there.
But if I raise with totally missing the flop and people fold thats great. But if I raise and someone reraises pushes all in or check raises im out of there. You have to get feel for it and be able to know when AK or AQ are no good |

Is "it depends" am acceptable answer? With hands like AK, AQ etc you need to take into account the flop texture, your table image, amount of players still in the hand, their playing styles, and obviously their betting if they acted before you.
I'm not going to write an essay or anything, but I usually will bet these hands on a dry flop, and sometimes raise or check raise. It all depends on the above factors though. |
