Default Before playing an mtt

Someone gave me advice once about playing MTTS or sngs.Rule #1 win 2x the buy in in ring games before you signup for one.Bankroll management due
to to the time it takes to play them.Anyone agree with this theory?

Apples and oranges.

Like.... What if you are a very good MTT player and a lousy cash game player?

i know it sounds bad but i almost have no sense at all for a limit hold em game. I know its tru that great players are very versatile, but I jst do not have much success in limit hold em.

But limit and pot limit omaha are a different story, i just have big trouble with limit hold em

If you can win 2x the buy-in in a cash game, play cash games instead :-)

Seriously!
