Default $20+$2 180 Sit n' Go's

Hey I finally got my money from Royal Vegas and I was thinking of sort of treating myself and buying into one of the $20+$2/180 Sit n Go's on PokerStars just to see what happens. I only have about 2 hours until I have to go into work though, so from the people who play in these a lot I was wondering how long these things usually run.

Note: Some of you have seen me play in the freeroll and the private tourney, so if anyone thinks I would just be pissing my money away on this since the skill level is a lot higher than mine, please feel free to let me know.

Maybe I will hop in one after work then. Any other opinons on me playing or one, or just some advice for $22/180's in general would be greatly appreciated still.

Do yourself a favor and hold back from playing in MTTs when you only have a limited time to play.

Mayhem, gave some good advice yesterday, but really it will be down to you. look up his post on 180s and if what he says suits you play that way, it works for him and he does place alot in those tournys.

If you have more time try a few lower stake tournys, but take his advice for starting the tournys and be patient the cards WILL come.

How loose preflop is too loose? I know Harrington said in his book that someone who sees more than 30% of the flops is a "super aggressive player" and mine is around like 33%. Do you think it might go up online some? What about short handed?

Does he say "super aggressive" or "super loose?" Because those are two very different things.

I think you could habng with the 180 crowd, skillwise, but I'm not sure that your bankroll can. You should play some smaller MTTs first, if you feel the need to play them at all.

Wow, I don't think that is very reasonable, but then again you seem to do fine. I like being more tight then aggressive in these. RIght now, in the one I am in, I am at 15%, then again the cards sure have been flowing...so I kinda wait for them and sit around for the rest of the time.

Finally I'm doing really good in these things, cashed in 4 of my last 8. - but my record before that was pretty sad, so don't listen to me too much but...

I think it works great if u play really tight the first hour, try to at least double ur stack and be selectively aggressive. Afer 1st break most the donkeys are out, and once i get to lvl 6 and 7, i start stealing blinds and picking up pots as much as possible - it really helps in getting to the final 2 tables, then after lvl 8 i back off and play somewhat tight again but still try to find oppertunities to steal blinds and pick up uncontested pots, and i find if i can get a little luck and avoid the bad beats I'm making the $ pretty consistantly now, but we'll see if i can keep that up.

Yeah I figure it might be better to start small. I'm up like $9 from a cashgame earlier today so I bought into the $1.10 tournament that starts at 11:30. Anyone else playing in it?

I meant I was 33% at a 6 handed cash game table, which is probably still too much, my tournament right now is at about 13%
