Washington State Card Rooms go smoke free

So last night I hit my usual local card room (+$17 after 90 minutes of 3/6), conveniently located all of four minutes away from my office. Usually there are at least three to four players smoking at any given table, and the low ceilings make it the equivalent of breathing the air in the Holland Tunnel. The Bellagio poker room this place ain’t.

But thanks to Washington’s brand new indoor smoking ban (), the place was smoke free. It still smelled like ass from years of stale smoke, but it was a huge improvement. Business was a little slower than usual (the tribal casinos still allow smoking), but I loved it. Probably added years to the dealers life expectancy, and at least a few more minutes to mine.
