Need a bit of coaching
First let me say that I am new here, have just read many of the posts and I think this is a great board! I have actively played cards for about 35 years and just love the many different games. I play in many of the freerolls on PokerStars and have made some money. However, time after time I get knocked out between 40 - 50 players, usually because of stack size. I play a tight game....with a loose hand about 1 in 10 times I go in. Any advice on how to play when it gets down to the last 10 tables?

It depends on your stack size. If you are loaded and have plenty of chips, say 30-40 times the BB, I say stick to your guns and play tight. You are going to have to change, once it gets down to like 3 tables or less, and become more aggressive. If you have 10-20 times BB you are fighting for your life, and are going to have to take chances and defend your blinds. You cannot sit around and wait for a good hand to go allin, more often or not you are not going to get it, or get it and not have enough chips at that point to scare anyone off and get called by nothing, a nothing that ends up taking you out. between 20 and 30, you may have enough room to be tight, but I think you stick to your guns here, play your game and hope everything works out. If that doesnt work, well you need to reevaluate your game.
