WSOP Qualifiers
Any opinions on the best sites to attempt to qualify for the WSOP main event? My family is going out of town the weekend after T'giving and I'm thinking of spending part of the weekend playing in some qualifiers. I'm going to go the route of playing in lower buy-in sats first and just wanted to hear opinions on the best place to play (ie, smaller fields with lower talent). Thanks.

i am not sure about the small fields with lower talent levels, bu ti would say that stars is the place to try and qualify. they have a ton of different options for qualifying, and they have great structures.
i mentioned earlier in the week that ub is running a very good promo for wsop qualifiers, so you might want to check out the opportunities there as well. |

i think it might be a little early for 2006 WSOP sats just yet...
stars normally starts running them in april. IMHO they have the best qualifier choices available.

I took a chance for a satellite to the Wsop of poker at absolute poker for a 10 satelitte. Their were 70 something players that enter and it was down to 14 players when you had to come in 7 to reach the final satellite, main event. I was about in 9 place right now so if i doubled up I would be in 4 or 5. SO i took a chance when a player raised two times the big blind and i had 99 and I went all in. A player with a few more chips called me and the player that raised folded. The player that called me turned over their hand and I saw that they had 77. I was like yes i am going to double up and get to the next satellite. Wrong the flop come 7 something something. I forgot. I was just really upset and that was it for poker for the night. Gave up and went to bed.

i mainly like fu;ll tilt poker or pokerstars....pokerstars for their good tourney layouts and full tilt for their tourny structure (blinds, anties, etc.) but i like full tilt mainly because tyheyhave lower fields and i feel like i am better on that site for some reason

Go to go with Stars
I agree that it is a little early to think about this, but I'd image Stars would be the clear choice here. They sent something like a quarter of the entire field last year.

Why would it be too early? I would think the sooner you start the better your chances.
Anyway, I like the set up at UB right now and will probably play a number of their sats (nearly won a seat to a qualifier the other night) but will definitely keep an eye on Stars too.
