How a donkey can wreck a solid night's work
This is probably my worst beat ever at a cash table... having to type up this hand history from scratch since Bodog's hand histories are weird image type files. As you can see I had been playing well and was up $142.68 after about 2 hours of playing solid, then this happens:

Here is what I think, and honestly if you show me the logic behind why I am wrong I would welcome the improvement in my game. If you catch an Ace and only and Ace on the flop you are probably only getting action if you are beat. Let's say you end up with a non intimidating board of A 3 7 8 Q. The only other Aces you can beat are A2 A4 A5 A6 A9 and thats it, assuming the suits don't matter. Even though that board doesn't represent any trouble as far as a straight is concerned or flush it still doesn't bode well for you. Your really only able to beat 5 hands that should possibly be in the pot with you. Change the Q to a 9 and now you can only beat 4 other Ace holdings assuming some nit wit didn't stay for a runner-runner straight. I probably don't play enough hands and I am learning to get more agressive so I think you have to raise to force out the Ace/rag hands or at least the 10 5 suited hand or fold with that hand. Thoughts anyone?

Just to clarify... if I'm in later position and no one has opened then I'm definitely raising. But in this case where I'm in a fairly early position and two others have limped in (and the fact that raises were called a lot at this table), I felt hitting a monster w/a multi-way was my best chance. Turns out I was right until donkey-boy sucked out on me.
