I guess you can say that I did put a bad beat on the other guys,
but at least I had the best hand when the money went in.

You most certainly can not say that. There was no bad beat here. The best hand won. There ALMOST was a bad beat, but there wasn't.

Quite the rollercoaster of a hand....

I had something similar happen last night... I hit a set of 4s on the flop and the guy to my right goes all-in with a pair of 8s, I call, he hits his set of 8s on the turn, I hit quad 4s on the river.

I can't believe the 5's even stayed in. Looks to be early on in the tourney. Heck, I would have thrown the 8s away at that point with the raise you put in.
