NFL for 10/23
Here is what I am playing and I hope I'm not forcing action here as the card looks ROUGH today.
Gonna post them so anyone who may be looking for them can see them and the write-ups will follow: Pittsburgh +1 Tenn/Ariz OVER 45 Good Luck, info to follow.

Pittsburgh +1
This is not a homer play for me, I am as critical of the Steelers and dumb ass Cowher as anyone, but one thing for sure when The Chin is coaching is you know what you will get, the game plan will be to run the ball reguardless of weather it works or not (see AFC Championship game last year). If Cincy has a glaring weak spot it is stopping the run and the weathe is cold and rainy in Cincy this morning putting an emphasis on ball control and the running game, both factors go to Pittsburgh there. Palmer will have a hard time throwing the ball in these conditions and look for the Bengal defense to commit to stopping the run which will open up things underneath for Pittsburgh to actually use a Tight End. Tenn/Ariz OVER 45 Two bottom dwelling defenses collide???? 25th and 26th ranked defenses that really can't stop much of anything at all. Tennessee has managed, somehow, to give up 212 yards passing and 116 yards rushing on average and Arizona's stats aren't much better. What really sticks out is the teams give up an average of over 4 yards a play. I wouldn't look for the punters to be filing any grievences for being over worked today. In fact they may qualify for unemployment after this on. I think we cash this one early.

I will pass on the Pitt game but I will bet the ARIZ/TENN over... I didnt realize how bad the defenses are.
Also McCown has been on fire since taking over for Warner. One question tho, what do you think about McNair being out? I know Volek did very well in absense of McNair last year but this is this year. |

The offensive line for Tennessee will keep thier running game in good shape reguardless of who is under center. It's not like McNair was setting defenses ablaze anyway. McNair was doubtful all week and didn't travel with the team so I think that was factored into the line anyway.

I'll be passing on Pitt too, since I already bet the other side of it
BTW - love you posting your picks, but in the future, maybe we can consolidate these threads a little. We now have two NLF 10/23 threads. Ideally, one betting thread per day would be good, but definitely no more than one per sport... I'll see if I can figure out how to merge these later. Thanks, guys. GL! |

steelers bettors (Zybomb and Peng) are all but cashing in unless the bengals pull a comeback out of their asses.
I see how Peng is doing this... he is waiting till TP posts his picks then does his picks... I see now. |

This is actually a very popular, but not well known strategy.

The Ariz/Tenn OVER play is all but cooked as this game is a real yawner. Another 1-1 day for me, blahhhhhh.
