TP, Lou, Badblood and other bloggers
Have you guys entered the Stars tourney? A freeroll for a WPT event is pretty sweet.

I assumed I wouldn't qualify for this (as this is a forum and not a blog), but I suppose it couldn't hurt to sign up and see what they say... I certainly treat this place like a blog, so maybe it would count...

I'm registered too, but don't expect much from a 1000 player freeroll. But still, it is a freeroll and Stars is putting up some cool prizes.

Are there really that many?
1000? Christ. I need a blog to weed through the other 999 and find the half dozen decent posts I should actually read.

Rude
I'm a big blog supporter -- I read a ton of 'em, and appreciate the great content that they provide. And it's great that there is an active and vocal blog community out there. But there are also a huge number of useless and stale poker blogs that took very little work to create.
You go to the effort to actually build a legitimate poker community, on which you and a dozen other post advice, experiences, news, and other rich poker content on a daily basis. On top of that, you kick in hundreds of dollars of your own $ for prizes in contests, freerolls, and more. And that doesn't count? Yeah, I know the difference between a blog and a forum. But that just ain't right. |
